Role Overview:
We are seeking a senior, individual-contributor executive with deep, active relationships across government-sponsored health plans (Medicare Advantage, Dual-Eligible plans, and regional/non-profit plans).
This role exists to open executive-level doors, create strategic sponsorship, and accelerate enterprise deal formation. It is not a traditional sales role and does not involve managing a team, running a forecast, or owning a standard quota.
The ideal candidate is trusted by plan executives, understands how these organizations buy, and can translate access into real commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Executive Relationship Development
- Leverage existing executive relationships within government-sponsored health plans to:
- Secure senior-level meeting
- Establish executive sponsorship
- Position the company as a strategic partner
- Expand relationships across multiple lines of business (MA, PDP, EGWP, DSNP, ancillary).
Strategic Deal Origination
- Identify and initiate:
- Strategic pilots
- Platform evaluations
- Multi-year partnership discussion
- Work closely with internal leadership to ensure opportunities are commercially viable and aligned to company priorities.
Deal Support & Sponsorship
- Act as an executive sponsor throughout complex deal cycles:
- Support pricing and negotiation strategy
- Navigate procurement, legal, and governance structures
- Maintain executive alignment through close
- Partner with internal sellers and leadership to advance deals efficiently.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Provide insight into:
- Health plan buying behavior
- Competitive dynamics
- Regulatory and operational considerations
- Inform go-to-market strategy and prioritization.
What This Role Does Not Do
- Does not manage sales reps or BDRs
- Does not run sales operations or forecasting
- Does not own a traditional activity-based quota
- Does not conduct cold outreach or transactional selling
Success Metrics
Success in this role is measured by outcomes, not activity:
- Executive-level introductions that convert to qualified opportunities
- Strategic pilots, MSAs, or enterprise agreements initiated
- Closed revenue attributable to executive sponsorship
- Expansion into additional plans or lines of business
- Quality and durability of executive relationships
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience working with or selling into:
- Medicare Advantage plans
- Prescription Drug plans
- Dual-Eligible or government-sponsored health plans
- Demonstrated ability to secure executive-level access (C-suite / EVP / SVP)
- Strong understanding of:
- Health plan operations
- Buying and procurement processes
- Long, complex enterprise sales cycles
- Proven track record of translating relationships into commercial outcomes
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:
This position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment. Must possess familiarity with office software including CRM, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

- Responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations affecting the company.
- Responsible for participating in quality assurance, compliance and in-service and continuing education activities as requested by Company.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Strategy, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in program management or strategic initiatives
- Proven track record managing enterprise-scale projects and partnerships
- Deep understanding of strategic planning, program governance, and portfolio management principles
- Experience working with or presenting to C-level executives or Boards of Directors
- Relevant certifications (PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
