Job Summary & Responsibilities

As Vice President, Specialized Sales at Access, you will own the growth of two strategic verticals: enterprise healthcare and energy. You will co-lead the healthcare vertical alongside a peer Vice President — owning strategy, pipeline, and revenue for the enterprise segment while your counterpart leads mid-market, SMB, and partnerships — and you will lead the energy vertical end to end. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies to identify new opportunities, deepen executive relationships, and expand revenue streams across both verticals. Additionally, you will lead and mentor a high-performing team to achieve organizational objectives and ensure execution on transformative growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies that establish Access as the leader in information management for enterprise healthcare and for the energy sector, aligning with Access' long-term vision and goals.
  • Develop annual plans, targets, and coverage models for the enterprise healthcare segment and the energy vertical; apply team, company, and budget resources to deliver excellent results, adapting to external events and the environment.
  • Prepare and provide monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics and forecasts for your teams by leveraging and improving upon existing sales operations capabilities.

Healthcare Vertical Co-Leadership – Enterprise Segment:

  • Own revenue, pipeline, and account strategy for enterprise healthcare accounts, including large health systems, hospital networks, and payers.
  • Partner with the Vice President responsible for mid-market, SMB, and partnerships to set a unified healthcare vertical strategy, maintain clear rules of engagement between segments, and ensure seamless transitions as accounts grow.
  • Align with your co-lead on vertical-wide initiatives, including messaging, pricing, industry events, and partner-sourced enterprise opportunities.

Energy Vertical Leadership:

  • Own the energy vertical end to end — strategy, pipeline, revenue, and go-to-market across all customer segments.
  • Identify and evaluate new sales opportunities, partnerships, and alliances across utilities, oil and gas, and renewables to drive growth and market presence.
  • Build the energy sales playbook, including ideal customer profiles, compliance- and regulation-driven use cases, and repeatable sales motions.

Sales Leadership, Team Mentoring, and Management:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the enterprise healthcare and energy sales teams, setting clear objectives and KPIs to drive revenue growth.
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team; provide guidance, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and capabilities.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes continuous improvement, innovation, and client satisfaction.
  • Lead negotiations and execute contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements for all parties involved.
  • Continually innovate the way we sell, including with the use of technology; seek and embrace best practices.

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong executive relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders across healthcare and energy.
  • Work with the sales team to represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and brand reputation.
  • Collaborate with leaders in marketing and product development to deliver against business goals and shape vertical-specific offerings.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise software or technology-enabled services sales, with significant experience selling into healthcare; energy sector experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of closing large, complex deals with enterprise health systems, payers, and/or energy companies.
  • Demonstrated success building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing sales teams.
  • Experience operating in segmented or matrixed coverage models with shared vertical ownership and clear rules of engagement.
  • Strong understanding of information management, archiving, and information governance value propositions for regulated industries.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, industry events, and team engagement.
