VP, Software Engineering Executive (Engineering Portfolio Leader), Global Post Trade Engineering
Our Global Technology and Operations (GTO) business has embarked on a major transformation of its technology platforms to deliver modern global financial solutions to our clients across Capital Markets, Wealth Management, and Asset Management.
We are looking for a business-minded, technically oriented executive leader with the energy, edge, and execution mindset to drive enterprise-scale technology transformation across Global Post Trade Engineering. In this senior leadership role, you will set the engineering vision and operating model for one or more core post-trade capabilities within the Global Engineering organization, partnering closely with Product and business leadership to translate multi-year strategy into an actionable roadmap, measurable outcomes, and scalable delivery plans. You will build and lead high-performing global organizations, shape architecture and platform strategy, and establish governance to ensure disciplined execution, risk management, resiliency, and regulatory readiness. You will influence at the highest levels, aligning stakeholders across functions and regions while ensuring teams deliver modern, secure, “infinitely” scalable solutions through rigorous engineering practices. From an architecture and design perspective, you will balance innovation with pragmatic decision-making, driving standards and repeatable patterns that accelerate delivery and improve quality at scale.

Responsibilities
• Provide enterprise leadership for your portfolio, setting vision, priorities, and success metrics; coach and inspire leaders and teams to achieve exceptional outcomes
• Define and execute a multi-year workforce and talent strategy (hiring, succession planning, leadership development, performance management) aligned to business goals and platform transformation
• Establish the engineering operating model to drive predictable delivery at scale (Agile/Lean practices, transparency, quality gates, and continuous improvement), balancing speed with resiliency and control
• Partner with Product and business leadership to shape strategy and define an outcome-driven roadmap, ensuring technology investments deliver client value and competitive advantage
• Lead architecture strategy and governance for your domain, driving design decisions, standards, and documentation that enable scalable, secure, and resilient platforms
• Drive portfolio planning and execution across multiple teams and dependencies; ensure clear product/technical specifications, resourcing, and alignment across functions and regions to deliver on committed timelines
• Own your assigned functional area across the full technical stack—driving modernization, simplification, and platform evolution while continuously assessing architecture for performance, cost, and risk improvements
• Ensure high-quality, audit-ready deliverables by defining engineering standards, automated testing strategies, SLOs/SLAs, and operational controls aligned to business use cases
• Provide executive oversight for incident and problem management, ensuring rapid restoration, effective root-cause remediation, and clear communication during critical client events
• Manage budgets, capacity, and the vendor/partner ecosystem for your domain, optimizing investment allocation while ensuring delivery quality and governance
• Lead executive governance for the portfolio (steerco/ARB), driving prioritization and investment decisions; define OKRs/dashboards and provide clear, data-driven updates to senior leadership
• Represent engineering with senior executives and key clients, translating complex technology into crisp decisions, commitments, and outcomes; resolve escalations and drive alignment across functions and regions
• Lead strategic change at scale (platform consolidation, major vendor/product shifts, acquisitions), ensuring continuity of service and adoption—while embedding security, privacy, and data governance by design
Qualifications:
GENERAL
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, related degree, or comparable experience
• 15+ years of experience in a software development environment, preferably at a Fintech firm
• 10+ years of experience in managing engineering teams, organizational budgets, and vendor relationships
LEADERSHIP
• Deep practitioner of Agile and Lean Start-Up methodologies
• Strong Program Management Skills with the able to influence large numbers in a matrixed environment.
• Execution focused executive with a “get things done” attitude who can roll-up their sleeves when necessary
• Demonstrated continuous improvement and continuous learning mindset
• Demonstrated capability as a lifecycle problem solver (idea -> implementation)
• Ability to drive transformation of platforms, processes, and people
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior executives and customers
• Skilled at collaborating and comfortable navigating at any level of the organization
• Ability to build, maintain, and grow high-performing architecture teams globally
• Strong belief in servant leadership and ability to cultivate a culture of openness, transparency, and inclusion
MANAGEMENT
• Excellent knowledge of IT strategic planning and capability development with experience implementing technology strategy and roadmaps
• Prior experience leading a software organization through transformation in a large enterprise environment
Prior Experience managing and driving large programs through all phases of the SDLC
• Demonstrated management experience in leading software architecture and engineering teams; ability to coach and mentor architecture resources and effectively manage and shape team and individual behaviors
• Ability to attract, develop and retain talent
• Ability to coach, motivate, and lead team members and organizations to their optimum performance
• Total commitment to quality and attention to detail
FUNCTIONAL
• Functional knowledge of financial market and products along with industry trends.
• Preferred experience in financial industry and/or Consulting
TECHNICAL
• Must be solution-oriented and business minded with significant practical experience in building, delivering, and supporting IT systems
• In-depth knowledge and experience implementing platform engineering practices and organizational constructs
• Strong understanding of modern Incident and Change Management processes
• Experienced with industry standard programming languages, operating systems, application development frameworks, monitoring tools, and CI/CT/CD tools
• Deep understanding of non-functional requirements and their importance to solution design.
Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $275,000 - 300,000.
Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
