Position Summary

WME is seeking a Vice President, SAP Services to oversee the operational health, technical roadmap, and continuous improvement of our SAP ecosystem. This role provides hands-on leadership across SAP ECC, SLT, BW, BPC, BTP, GRC, and Concur, ensuring stability, performance, and alignment with evolving business needs.
The VP will partner closely with Finance, Technology, and business stakeholders to prioritize enhancements, guide modernization efforts, support readiness for future S/4HANA work, and ensure SAP systems are secure, optimized, and reliable.
This leader will manage day-to-day operations, drive cross-functional delivery, and implement governance, standards, and processes that strengthen system performance and business value.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy
  • Support development of the SAP roadmap and ensure alignment with broader IT and enterprise objectives.

  • Lead modernization and optimization initiatives across the SAP landscape, including cloud adoption, platform upgrades, and integration improvements.

  • Establish governance standards to ensure system stability, security, compliance, and resiliency.

  • Promote best practices in architecture, integration, change management, and solution design.

  • Manage cross-functional delivery teams, business analysts, and vendors to ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes.

  • Drive continuous improvement across processes, performance metrics, monitoring, and user satisfaction.

  • Assess emerging technologies and recommend improvements that support business needs and reduce technical debt.

  • Partner with senior technology leaders to ensure SAP architecture, integrations, and data flows align with enterprise requirements.

  • Support cost-benefit analysis, vendor evaluations, and contract optimization.

Business Partnership
  • Serve as the primary operational liaison to global Finance leadership for SAP-related needs and enhancements.

  • Develop strong relationships with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and business unit stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Partner with functional leads to prioritize enhancements, manage escalations, and ensure service reliability.

  • Provide thought leadership on automation, process improvements, and technology opportunities within the SAP domain.

  • Establish structured feedback loops with end users to improve workflows and identify pain points.

  • Collaborate with audit, risk, and compliance teams to uphold control requirements and regulatory standards.

Application Management
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the SAP environment and critical boundary systems.

  • Lead technical and functional teams to ensure system uptime, performance, scalability, and data integrity.

  • Strengthen SAP security, controls, and compliance (SOX, ITGC) and ensure readiness for audits.

  • Implement automation and best practices in monitoring, incident response, and change control.

  • Manage lifecycle planning: patches, enhancements, upgrades, capacity planning, and roadmaps.

People & Team Leadership
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global SAP team with clear ownership and accountability.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Mentor team members, support career growth, and plan for key role succession.

  • Manage relationships with SI partners, AMS providers, and third-party vendors to supplement internal capabilities effectively.

Knowledge & ExperienceRequired
  • 8–10+ years of SAP leadership experience across enterprise environments.

  • Deep technical understanding of SAP ECC and related platforms (BW, BPC, SLT, GRC, Concur).

  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end SAP process integration (RTR, PTP, OTC).

  • Hands-on leadership managing SAP functional and technical teams across global or multi-country organizations.

  • Experience delivering SAP transformation or modernization initiatives (upgrades, cloud migrations, integration improvements, or S/4 readiness).

  • Strong vendor management experience, including AMS or SI partners.

  • Solid understanding of SDLC, ITSM, integration frameworks, and compliance requirements (SOX, ITGC).

  • Experience managing budgets and optimizing spend.

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and guide decision-making through data and structured analysis.

Preferred
  • Experience in media, entertainment, sports, marketing, or licensing industries.

  • Exposure to SAP BTP, cloud integration tools, or modern analytics platforms.

  • Experience in environments undergoing business transformation or significant operational change.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Preferred: MBA or advanced degree.

  • Preferred: SAP certifications.

Hiring Range Maximum Compensation: $335,000

Hiring Range Minimum Compensation: $251,250

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the hourly rate shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience.
