Opportunity Overview
Reporting to the Executive VP, North America Head, the VP of Sales will be a key member of the North America Leadership Team.  This individual will oversee and lead the commercial strategy of the US sales organization for current and future indications of IMCIVREE.  In this role, the VP of Sales will be responsible for developing, leading, and inspiring a high functioning sales organization to meet Rhythm’s strategy and objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develop, execute, and drive the commercial sales strategy for current and future indications of IMCIVREE and potential next generations aligned with marketing strategy and corporate objectives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to the sales team to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration
  • Execute and drive a competitive integrated business plan for IMCIVREE to enhance patient diagnosis, access, and adherence to treatment. 
  • Support team members with coaching and development activities that enhance capabilities and growth. 
  • Build strong relationships with key customers to identify customer needs and drive commercial development.  Identify key customer and market insights to inspire action and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive and proficient understanding of indications of interest, current market dynamics and trends that impact the business.
  • Play a key role in decision making across the portfolio by providing ongoing critical input to the activities and resource planning of the cross functional teams, including Marketing, Managed Markets, Market Research, Patient Advocacy and Medical.  Collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams to drive business decisions and advance key objectives.
  • Lead with a data driven approach, identifying ways to optimize data, metrics and KPIs so that we are proactively measuring results and implementing solutions with the field teams that accelerate performance. 
  • Monitor product demand and contribute to forecasts and align with Manufacturing to ensure supply is aligned with market needs.
  • Contribute to design of IC Plans to maximize sales team’s motivation and productivity

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred
  • 15+ years of sales experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical or medical device industries
  • Rare disease experience and launch experience required
  • 10+ years of people management experience, leading and inspiring high performing field teams
  • Proven track record of executing strategic and tactical plans that have delivered strong commercial results
  • Self-motivated, highly energetic individual with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Inspirational leader who can effectively lead through change and build and maintain a strong culture
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to articulate and convey complex data and information concisely to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical and forward thinker with strong leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory environment
  • Ability to travel frequently to monitor execution of teams and participate in leadership meetings.
