Role Overview:

Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the Vice President of Sales will be a key driver of Teachstone’s revenue growth and expansion. This role is responsible for directing the outside sales organization, shaping and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, championing a culture of accountability and high performance, and aligning sales efforts with Teachstone’s mission and business goals. The VP of Sales will also be instrumental in scaling the team, establishing data-driven processes, and fostering cross-functional partnerships to ensure long-term success and agility in the market.


Role Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Sales Leadership

    • Develop and lead a multi-year sales strategy aligned with Teachstone’s growth objectives and the company’s mission to elevate teacher-student interactions.
    • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to drive effective decision-making and refine sales approaches.
    • Set ambitious sales targets and key performance indicators, regularly assessing progress to ensure accountability and sustained performance.
    • Lead, inspire, and empower the sales team by setting clear expectations and fostering a high-performance culture.
    • Establish scalable and repeatable sales processes that ensure consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness across the organization, especially as the team expands.
    • Implement sales methodologies to reduce ramp time, standardize deal language, and support complex, multi-stakeholder sales within the education sector.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

    • Collaborate closely with product, finance, marketing, and operations teams to align sales efforts with Teachstone’s broader objectives and deliver a seamless customer experience.
    • Partner with the executive team on company-wide strategic initiatives, sharing market insights and identifying growth opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to enhance Teachstone’s reputation and drive business growth.

Performance Measurement, Forecasting, and Change Management

    • Establish and monitor key sales metrics, providing regular performance reports and actionable insights to senior leadership.
    • Use data-driven analysis to forecast, identify improvement areas, optimize sales processes, and drive continuous performance improvement.
    • Lead change initiatives to ensure the sales organization adapts to evolving market demands, fostering a culture of resilience and flexibility in a growth-oriented environment.

Team Development and Talent Strategy

    • Cultivate a high-achievement culture that values relationship-building, discovery, and a commitment to Teachstone’s mission, while equipping the team with the support and resources needed for success.
    • Drive recruitment and retention strategies to attract and develop top talent, particularly those who excel in complex, mission-driven sales and thrive in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
    • Foster professional growth through mentorship and coaching, empowering sales leaders and team members to reach their potential.


Role Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales, client service and service delivery
  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performance sales teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales strategies, market analysis, and customer insights.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and performance measurement.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to make sound decisions based on market insights and financial considerations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Travel as required (50%)
