We’re seeking a Vice President of Risk Management to lead enterprise-wide risk strategy across our senior living communities and corporate operations. Reporting to the CEO, this executive will identify and reduce organizational risk while strengthening resident safety, quality care, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

This role works closely with senior leaders and key partners across operations, clinical services, HR, legal, finance, and insurance to protect residents, employees, assets, and the organization’s reputation while supporting long-term growth.

This position is west coast based with travel to Clearwater communties & home office.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead enterprise-wide risk management strategy across senior living communities and corporate operations.
  • Identify, assess, and reduce operational, clinical, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks.
  • Oversee claims, litigation, insurance programs, incident investigations, and loss prevention initiatives.
  • Partner with operations, clinical, legal, HR, finance, and insurance teams to strengthen resident safety, compliance, and quality outcomes.
  • Use data, trends, and performance metrics to guide risk reduction strategies and provide executive reporting.
  • Support emergency preparedness, business continuity, strategic initiatives, and organizational growth while protecting residents, employees, assets, and reputation.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare or senior living risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Assisted Living and Memory Care regulations
    • Enterprise Risk Management
    • Claims and litigation management
    • Insurance administration
    • Regulatory compliance
    • Resident safety and quality improvement
    • Incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Exceptional analytical, leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to community locations.

Preferred

  • Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MSN, JD, or related discipline).
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM), Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), or comparable certification.

Experience supporting multi-state senior living operations

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare or senior living risk management.
  • Knowledge of Assisted Living and Memory Care regulations.
