Vice President, Professional Services

The Vice President, Professional Services is a senior executive responsible for driving Professional Services growth, go-to-market execution, revenue generation, and customer expansion. This leader owns the Professional Services business strategy and partners closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Executive Leadership to grow bookings, expand strategic customer relationships, and increase revenue across new and existing accounts.

In addition to commercial leadership responsibilities, the Vice President ensures the successful execution of Professional Services engagements, driving customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and delivery performance across a portfolio of strategic customer accounts.

This role operates with a General Manager mindset, balancing market growth, revenue attainment, customer success, delivery performance, and organizational leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Go-To-Market Leadership & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute the Professional Services go-to-market strategy aligned with Duck Creek’s growth objectives and corporate priorities.
  • Own and drive Professional Services bookings, revenue growth, services quota attainment, margin performance, and forecast accuracy across assigned regions, portfolios, or service lines.
  • Serve as a key member of the customer-facing leadership team, partnering closely with Sales, Customer Success, Alliances, and Solution Engineering leaders to drive business growth.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of Professional Services opportunities through strategic account planning, executive relationship management, and proactive business development activities.
  • Lead Professional Services participation in strategic sales pursuits, executive customer engagements, proposal development, contract negotiations, and deal closure activities.
  • Identify new market opportunities, customer needs, and emerging industry trends that drive service expansion and revenue growth.
  • Generate new Professional Services business through both new-logo acquisition support and expansion opportunities within existing customer accounts.
  • Develop customer growth strategies that increase adoption, expand service offerings, and maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Serve as an executive sponsor for strategic customer relationships and influence C-level stakeholders to drive transformational business outcomes.
  • Represent Duck Creek at customer forums, executive advisory boards, industry conferences, and partner events to strengthen market presence and create new business opportunities.

Professional Services Business Leadership

  • Lead Professional Services as a growth-oriented business, balancing revenue expansion, profitability, customer success, operational excellence, and employee engagement.
  • Define and execute strategic initiatives that improve operational performance, scalability, utilization, profitability, and customer outcomes.
  • Develop and contribute to the overall Professional Services strategy, vision, service offerings, methodologies, and intellectual property.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations leadership to manage business planning, forecasting, workforce strategy, capacity planning, and financial performance.
  • Ensure achievement of key business metrics, including bookings, revenue, margin, utilization, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.

Customer Delivery & Operational Excellence

  • Provide executive oversight of a portfolio of strategic customer engagements, ensuring successful business outcomes, customer satisfaction, revenue realization, and delivery excellence.
  • Meet regularly with customer executives, project sponsors, and Duck Creek partners to align strategic objectives, program outcomes, and delivery expectations.
  • Partner with Engagement Leaders and Delivery teams to proactively identify and mitigate customer, project, operational, and commercial risks.
  • Ensure effective governance, scope management, resource planning, risk management, and customer communication practices across assigned engagements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance delivery quality, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and organizational scalability.

Talent & Organizational Leadership

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Professional Services organization focused on business growth, customer success, delivery excellence, and employee engagement.
  • Oversee all people leadership responsibilities, including workforce planning, staffing, performance management, succession planning, coaching, talent development, and compensation recommendations.
  • Develop future leaders and strengthen organizational capabilities to support long-term growth objectives.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience.
  • At least 8–10 years of leadership experience within a Professional Services, Consulting, SaaS, Enterprise Software, or Technology Services environment.
  • Proven experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies, building qualified sales pipelines, driving new business opportunities, and achieving bookings, revenue, and growth objectives within large-scale customer transformation, software implementation, SaaS, or consulting organizations.
  • Experience working closely with enterprise sales organizations to drive revenue growth, strategic account expansion, and customer success.
  • Working knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance and SaaS implementations is strongly preferred.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale Professional Services, Sales, and/or Go-to-Market organizations with accountability for pipeline generation, bookings attainment, revenue growth, business performance, customer success, and delivery excellence.
  • Proven experience owning or contributing directly to Professional Services bookings, revenue growth, pipeline development, and attainment of annual business objectives.
  • Experience partnering with enterprise sales teams on complex software, SaaS, consulting, or digital transformation opportunities.

Actual compensation for this role is determined based on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location, where permitted by law.

For reference, the expected salary range for this position is generally positioned as follows based on candidate location:

  • 195,700 – 279,600: Candidates living in the Boston, New York City–Newark, Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, Seattle, or Washington, DC metropolitan areas
  • 186,500 – 266,400: Candidates living in Chicago, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, Minneapolis, or Philadelphia metropolitan areas, or in Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Rhode Island, or Vermont
  • 177,200 – 253,200: Candidates living in Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Oregon, or Wisconsin
  • 156,900 – 245,300: For all other U.S. locations

This position is also eligible for sales commissions, subject to plan terms and individual eligibility.

Final compensation will be determined based on the factors outlined above and in accordance with applicable law.
