About the role: 

As the Vice President of Product Marketing, you will play a crucial role in defining and driving the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for Nintex products. You will lead a team responsible for product positioning, messaging, market research, and most importantly, targeted GTM plays that reflect the needs of our customers and which help the business achieve revenue and growth objectives.  

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and compelling storyteller with a proven track record of building and scaling a product marketing organization that is deeply passionate about collaborating with customers.

Your contribution will be:  

Go-to-Market Strategy: 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies that drive both new logo and expansion bookings.
  • Identify and prioritize target markets, segments, and personas for effective product positioning that is informed by a strong knowledge of the customer and leads with value delivered against business need.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, sales, services) to align product positioning and messaging with market demand.
  • Identify and remove obstacles to achieving revenue growth objectives and ultimately, overall market success. 

 Product Positioning and Messaging: 

  • Define and communicate clear product value propositions, differentiators, and messaging that resonate with target audiences.
  • Develop compelling content for marketing campaigns, sales collateral, presentations, and web assets to support product launches and ongoing demand generation.
  • Establish feedback loops between sales and product teams to refine positioning and messaging. 

 Sales Enablement: 

  • Partner with the sales enablement org to develop materials, sales tools, and resources to achieve revenue goals; in particular, drive effective new logo acquisition plays, plus expansion plays for cross-sell and upsell to customers.
  • Manage the product launch process on new products, new features, and competitive positioning to ensure sales, service and customer success orgs are aligned and ready for customer conversations. 

 Team Leadership and Development: 

  • Design, build and lead a world-class organization that high-performing product marketers will crave to be a part of to develop their skills and grow their careers.
  • Develop and manage a strategic roadmap for the product marketing team, aligning with broader company goals and objectives.
  • Instill a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Set performance goals, monitor team performance, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback. 

Performance Measurement and Optimization: 

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives.
  • Analyze and report on the performance of product marketing led GTM plays and strategies, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Leverage product usage and customer analytics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement. 

To be successful, we think you need:  

  • 7+ years of experience in a leadership role, with at least 3 years of experience operating at a VP level.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies for complex software products, particularly focused on delivering value to mid-sized companies.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills using a data-driven approach to decision-making to assess complex situations and proven record of exceptional creativity to provide solutions.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to make recommendations and decisions independently.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a very fast paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus
