The Role

Overview

The role of the VP of Product Management will be to lead the Product Management team to ensure continued development and growth of Lumin Digital’s product line as well as identifying and bringing to market new products and services. The VP of Product Management will report to the Chief Product Officer.


Responsibilities


Product Leadership

Hire and lead a team of exceptional product managers that will design and build industry-leading products and services.

Partner with the Chief Product Officer and your peers to advance the company’s mission and achieve its goals. This includes development and communication of our product’s vision and strategy, both internally and externally. 

Partner with the Chief Product Officer to develop, communicate product strategy and execute the product roadmap delivery across all products lines

Nurture an environment where big, bold ideas can be developed and grown by the entire product organization.

Clearly and continually communicate strategic direction, product status and delivery details throughout the organization. This includes the development processes and tools that allow the product organization to continually improve how information about products are shared.

Be a product evangelist by externally communicating the value of our products and strategy through public presentations, thought leadership and 1on1 engagement with clients and prospects.


Product Design

Help craft a bold and exciting product vision and strategy and ensure that the product design is aligned with those objectives.

Drive product development that supports Lumin’s financial objectives while embracing MVP mindset. This includes identifying products and enhancements that achieve financial targets for ARPU, margin and cost containment.

Deeply understand customer needs and user requirements through both direct customer interaction and feedback from Lumin’s Sales and Client Services teams

Identify and implement strategies to help improve the competitive position of our products and services in the marketplace.


Product Development and Delivery

Work with product and engineering leadership to support the design of software components and functionality

Work with product and engineering leadership to ensure comprehensive product testing, resulting in high-quality product releases

Continually look to support and improve internal deployment processes and Launch Organization Readiness activities.

Actively engage and cultivate relationships with key third party vendors (TPVs) and product managers to reduce internal expenses and create new revenue streams.


Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), related field. MS degree or MBA preferred

Demonstrated experience building and delivering products in the Digital Banking or related industries, with 10 to 13 years of Product Management or related leadership experience

Extensive knowledge of Product Management, Agile SCRUM and product development lifecycles and techniques

Experience in building and managing product management teams with responsibility for multiple products and markets

Data driven approach to decision making. Constantly looking for opportunities to derive guidance, direction and strategy from available data

Proven ability to commercialize highly complex products, including project management of both internal, 3rd party engineers and cross functional teams

Outstanding communication, presentation, and writing skills. This includes the ability to create compelling presentation visuals and deliver in depth presentations (both virtually and in person).

Experience with public facing presentations, either at conferences, podcasts or media events

Ability to take vague product and process concepts and clearly communicate direction, strategy to internal teams, clients and the market.

Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
