The VP Mortgage Product and Partnership Management leader is responsible for launching enterprise-wide new products and partnerships, including ongoing P&L performance. This role is crucial in aligning the company’s product roadmap with its overall business objectives. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams including corporate development, technology/engineering and marketing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in identifying and executing strategic initiatives, developing go-to-market strategies, and owning the P&L for new ventures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product and Partnership Strategy:

  • Develop and communicate a clear and compelling product strategy aligned with the company’s vision, goal and market opportunities

  • Define and prioritize product initiatives and features based on business value, customer needs, and market trends

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify target customer segments and understand their needs

  • Partner closely with Corporate Development to evaluate potential strategic partnerships, and joint ventures that align with the company's growth objectives

  • Conduct due diligence on potential partners, including financial analysis, market assessment, and cultural fit

  • Negotiate and structure deals, ensuring favorable terms and conditions

Go-to-Market Strategy:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new products and partnerships, including market positioning, pricing, distribution channels, and marketing campaigns

  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution and delivery of product roadmap.

  • Drive product innovation by fostering an environment of creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, product, operations) to ensure successful product launches and partnership activations

  • Monitor market trends and customer feedback to refine go-to-market strategies and optimize performance

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of product initiatives and make data-driven decisions.

P&L Ownership:

  • Assume full P&L responsibility for new ventures, including revenue generation, cost management, and profitability

  • Develop financial projections and budgets, and track performance against key metrics

  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Familiarity with financial modeling and valuation techniques.

  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate development, strategy, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of successfully launching new products or partnerships.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
