Position OverviewSmarTek21 is seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Pre-Sales to bridge the gap between client needs and our technical capabilities. This senior role plays a critical part in understanding customer objectives, designing tailored technology solutions, and supporting the sales cycle from qualification through close and early implementation planning.
The ideal candidate has deep technical knowledge, a consultative mindset, and strong business awareness—especially in managed services or product engineering contexts. You will work closely with Sales, Delivery, Finance, HR, and Business Leadership to craft compelling, scalable, and ROI-driven solutions.Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the Sales team to understand client business goals, pain points, and technical environments.
- Lead the development of customized solution proposals and statements of work (SOWs) that align with SmarTek21’s offerings.
- Translate complex business requirements into technically sound, scalable architectures.
- Present solution designs, demos, and value propositions to technical and executive stakeholders.
- Partner with Delivery and Engineering teams to ensure solution feasibility, cost modeling, and resource alignment.
- Support customer implementation planning to ensure smooth transitions from pre-sales to project kickoff.
- Create reusable solution frameworks and documentation to enhance the pre-sales process.
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and Business Leaders to support pricing models, staffing, and long-term value creation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SmarTek21 products, services, and industry trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solutions consulting, or technical sales engineering role within the IT sector.
- Proven experience designing solutions for managed services and/or product engineering engagements.
- Strong technical knowledge across enterprise IT domains including cloud, data, infrastructure, and applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both technical and business audiences.
- Experience managing or supporting customer implementations and handoffs to delivery teams.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- Master’s degree or advanced certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, PMP, TOGAF).
- Experience with modern software delivery models, DevOps, and digital transformation consulting.
- Familiarity with RFP/RFI processes and proposal writing.
