About the Company

K Health is building the infrastructure for how America will access primary care — an AI-enabled virtual platform that meets patients where they are, embedded within the most trusted health systems in the country. We are live with ten leading health system partners including Cedars-Sinai, Mayo Clinic, Mass General Brigham, and Northwell, and we are growing fast: We have doubled year over year and we expect the next year to be even stronger.

Over the next twelve months we are targeting a significant expansion of our workforce, with the goal of doubling our clinical team to meet the demand of both our existing health system partners and a pipeline of new partnerships coming online.

About the Role

As the VP of HR at K Health, you will serve as a core thought leader and strategic partner to the executive leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will lead our organizational strategy to hire, engage, develop, retain, and scale our most valuable asset—our people. You will uniquely bridge the gap between our corporate functions and our clinical organization, balancing high-growth scaling with operational excellence. A key priority will be building a structured career trajectory and development path for clinicians from the ground up as we scale our clinician team from 80 to over 250. And continue to evolve our organization to serve our mission of providing high quality medicine at scale.

What You Will Do
  • Executive Thought Leadership & Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, translating business strategy into actionable organizational and talent strategies.
  • Dual-Org Leadership: Drive People Ops strategy and execution across both corporate business functions and the medical/clinical organization.
  • Clinician Scaling & Career Architecture: Design, build, and implement end-to-end career pathways, engagement strategies, and retention initiatives for clinicians, supporting growth from 80 to 200+ providers.
  • Talent Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire employee lifecycle—including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, total rewards, leadership development, and employee relations.
  • People Analytics & Operations: Establish data-driven HR practices, metrics, and systems to continuously measure and improve employee engagement, retention, and operational efficiency.
  • Culture & Organizational Design: Drive programs that reinforce company culture, foster an inclusive workplace, and support organizational agility during rapid scaling.
What We Are Looking For
  • 10+ years of progressive HR / People Operations experience, with at least 3–5+ years in a senior leadership role (VP, Head of People, or Senior Director).
  • Dual Domain Expertise: Proven experience managing People Operations across both corporate functions and scaling clinical, medical, or field/frontline operations.
  • Scaling Track Record: Demonstrated success scaling a high-growth company or division (specifically experience building programs to scale teams significantly, such as 2x–3x growth).
  • Program Architecture: Hands-on experience designing and implementing career progression frameworks, performance management systems, and retention strategies from scratch.
Bonus
  • Advanced degree (Master’s, MBA, or M.S. in HR/Org Development) or HR certifications (SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
  • Experience in HealthTech, Telehealth, or healthcare delivery environments.
  • Experience navigating fast-paced, matrixed, or venture-backed environments.

Benefits & Perks:  #LI-Hybrid

  • 18 vacation days, 9 company holidays, 5 sick days, and 2 personal days
  • Stock options for every full-time employee
  • Paid parental leave
  • 401k benefit

  • Competitive health, dental, and vision insurance options
Compensation:
$225,000$275,000 USD

Who We Are:

Behind every leading health system is K Health’s AI-powered virtual care engine.

Esteemed health systems like Mayo Clinic, Cedars-Sinai, Mass General Brigham, Hackensack Meridian Health, and Hartford Healthcare partner with K Health to build and run modern primary virtual care clinics on their behalf.

Our deeply integrated model modernizes the primary care loop by using AI to put humans first. For our patients, we offer clinical AI (i.e., PatientGPT) and unparalleled access to close care gaps around the clock. For our Providers, we deliver provider-serving agentic solutions (i.e., Perfect Note) to eliminate administrative overload and burnout. And for the health systems, we deploy our top-grade Virtualists in AI-powered virtual clinics 24/7 to capture the patients' care journeys at step one, retain the journey through the system for longitudinal care, and strengthen profitability.

We’re founded in 2016, headquartered in New York City, and backed by nearly $400 million from leading investors including Valor Equity Partners, Claure Group, Mangrove Capital Partners, 14W, Notable Capital, Lerer Hippeau, Primary Venture Partners, Comcast Ventures, PICO Venture Partners, Max Ventures, and other strategic healthcare partners.

We offer competitive compensation packages based on industry benchmarks for function, level, and geographic location. Offer amounts are determined by multiple factors such as a candidate's experience and expertise.

We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and consider applicants for employment regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding, age, citizenship, military or veteran status, or any other class protected by applicable federal, state, and local laws. We’re deeply committed to building teams as diverse as the patients we serve and strive to cultivate an environment where everyone can bring their most authentic self to work. We depend on our differences to make our team stronger, our workplace more dynamic, and our product accessible to all of our users.

We are committed to maintaining the integrity of our hiring process and ensuring a safe environment for all candidates.
