Overview:

The VP, Operations, is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of a company. This role involves strategic planning, process improvement, and ensuring that the company meets its objectives efficiently and effectively. This role collaborates with other executive leaders to develop and implement policies and to manage resources in a manner that drives the organization towards its goals. This position is vital for ensuring smooth operations and plays a key role in shaping the company's future direction.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Oversee the daily workflows within call center and clinical operations, and ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the departments.
  • Establish, implement, and communicate the strategic direction of the organization’s operations division in holistically delivering on the use journey and product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems; evaluate and recommend enhancements to product/service delivery and efficiency.
  • Execute on 2025 key strategic initiatives:
    • Lead operational projects to support organizational growth and client retention initiatives
    • Launch and scale enhanced service model/member journey
    • Deliver operational efficiency goals for cost reductions
  • Collaborate with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, and systems to streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials; Optimize operational processes for cost savings and productivity.
  • Project management and oversight of critical projects.
  • Ensure that departmental decisions and project plans are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision.
  • Establish, communicate, and implement operations-related policies; ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Establish and administer the department’s budget.
  • Identify, evaluate and manage operational vendor relationships, adhering to appropriate quality, utilization and cost standards
  • Establish, maintain, measure and report on operational performance metrics
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
  • Manage operations team performance; identify training needs and ensure proper training is developed and provided.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Essential Education and Experience:
  • At least 3 years of healthcare operational leadership, ideally including call center management.
  • At least 1 year strategic leadership experience, ideally including product development/management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field; MBA highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of mental health care benefits, employee benefits and insurance.
  • Understanding healthcare certifications and Federal and State insurance requirements preferred.
  • Experience with various technology platforms in the healthcare field highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance.
  • Proven experience in process improvement and project management
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 

The compensation range is based on the candidates experience and/or level of education or certifications.
Uprise Budgeted Pay Range
$175,000$180,000 USD
