We are seeking an accomplished Operations Change Lead to join our Change Team within Investor Services Operations.
In this critical VP-level role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving client and internal change across our Transfer Agency, Middle Office, and Fund Accounting operations. You will influence key decisions, perform complex analysis, and deliver impactful projects that enhance efficiency, compliance, and client experience within a dynamic global environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process Analysis & Solution Design: Perform in-depth process analysis and design innovative business solutions in response to complex client or operational needs across Transfer Agency, Middle Office, and Fund Accounting functions.
Requirements Leadership: Lead the delivery of comprehensive business requirements (BRDs), functional specifications, and user stories, and oversee the preparation and execution of testing plans (including UAT) for fund-related system changes.
Strategic Stakeholder Partnership: Cooperate closely with senior business stakeholders in hand with our Product, Technology partners, and clients, ensuring the right infrastructure and solutions align with our vision and strategic goals for funds services.
Risk Mitigation & Management: Take proactive actions targeted at minimizing and mitigating implementation and project risks, ensuring robust solutions for fund operations.
Challenge & Innovate: Challenge the status quo, display initiative, and drive innovation in coming up with solutions for complex business problems within the funds domain.
Root Cause Analysis: Perform thorough root cause analysis of common operational problems and complex business issues, proposing sustainable solutions for Fund Accounting, Middle Office, and Transfer Agency processes.
Query & Requirement Management: Lead the management of client and business ad-hoc queries and evolving requirements, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Project Planning: Lead and contribute to project plans that accurately assess resource requirements and timescales for execution to ensure overall project timelines can be met for funds change initiatives.
Strategic Involvement: Display appropriate involvement in Department strategic planning, influencing the direction of future developments in fund operations.
Regulatory & Compliance Analysis: Lead the analysis of new and evolving regulatory requirements, translating them into actionable business and system requirements for compliance within the funds industry.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's/University degree required, Master's preferred.
Experience: 6-10 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Lead Business Analyst, or similar role within change management or operational improvements (e.g., Lean, reengineering programs).
Funds Domain Expertise (Required): Proven and extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in Funds Accounting, Middle Office, and/or Transfer Agency operations. This includes a strong understanding of relevant processes, financial products, and business challenges.
Skills:
Analytical, Organizational & Prioritization: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
Communication & Interpersonal: Excellent communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills, capable of leading meetings with diverse stakeholders and effectively influencing outcomes. Very good command of English.
Planning & Management: Proven ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and manage tasks and projects in a complex work environment.
Regulatory Understanding: Strong understanding of BABOK standards and/or IIBA certification (advantageous), coupled with a deep understanding of financial markets and their regulatory landscape.
Preferred Qualifications
IIBA CBAP or other relevant Business Analysis certifications.
Experience with Agile methodologies and related tools (Jira, Confluence).
Experience in leading small teams of Business Analysts or mentoring junior staff.
