Job Description

The Vice President, Neonatal and Fetal Services leads the system-wide Neonatal/Fetal strategy and execution across Children’s including the development and execution of strategic, annual, and multi-year operational plans for Neonatal/Fetal, ensuring alignment with organizational mission, vision, and clinical priorities. Provides system-wide leadership to integrate clinical, academic, and operational priorities to ensure sustainable growth, program excellence, and national prominence. Serves as a key partner with Children's Physician Group leadership and external partners to advance shared goals in quality, safety, access, patient and family experience, and growth across the continuum of neonatal and fetal care. Provides the executive-level infrastructure to coordinate and elevate neonatal and fetal services across multiple sites while advancing a unified, system-level operating model.

Experience

  • Master's degree in nursing, business, or other healthcare related fields

Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as dyad strategic/operational leader with Chief of Neonatology and all Neonatal/Fetal Medical Directors.
  • Leads the system-wide Neonatal/Fetal strategy and execution across Children’s including the development and execution of strategic, annual, and multi-year operational plans for Neonatal/Fetal, ensuring alignment with organizational mission, vision, and clinical priorities.
  • Manages and leads all partnerships with other entities (in coordination with CPG leadership) including the partner principles, structures, financial arrangements, and oversight to achieve optimal performance with other internal and external entities as designated.
  • Provides executive clinical, operational, and financial leadership to ensure high-quality, efficient, family-centered, comprehensive care from fetal diagnosis through infancy.
  • Aligns strategy and operations with Chiefs/Medical Directors, academic leaders, and perinatal partners across the continuum of care.
  • Leads change management efforts, internally and externally, including development and execution of communication strategies, to support adoption and sustainment of key initiatives.​
  • Builds and manage external relationships to grow referrals, regional partnerships, and market presence.
  • Partners with clinical team, providers, and system leadership to evaluate and optimize operational, financial, and quality performance and to enhance Neonatal/Fetal operations, clinical excellence, and patient outcomes.​
  • Manages Children’s responsibilities of the Regional Perinatal Center and partners with Finance to ensure the funding sources of the RPC.
  • Drives top-decile performance in quality, safety, access, experience, and financial metrics, strengthening our national standing and recognition.
  • Determines prioritization across competing initiatives to focus on the highest-impact, value-driven work and provides regular reporting on project portfolio status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership.​
  • Optimizes multi-site operations, including capacity, staffing, workflows, and technology.
  • Oversees budgeting, capital planning, and performance metrics for Neonatal and Fetal Services.
  • Recruits develop, and engage leaders, providers, and clinical and support staff to foster a high-performance, team-based culture.
  • Advances research, education, innovation, and technology in alignment with academic mission.
  • Serves as the key operational leader and partner in philanthropy efforts to support strategic and operational priorities.
