The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for leading upstream and downstream marketing efforts to drive growth for Kytopen, all market-facing materials, and will drive the vision of Kytopen becoming the leader in cellular engineering and advanced therapy development and manufacturing. This includes developing key strategic marketing objectives, launching and positioning products and brands, establishing appropriate pricing, building the executional playbooks to drive growth in the field, and developing and executing event, campaign, and content strategies to further penetrate new and existing markets. The role requires an entrepreneurial spirit, excellent marketing execution, and business analysis skills with strong capabilities in effectively positioning and promoting products. Our ideal candidate will also have strong communication, project management, and coordination skills with an ability to work effectively with others to execute a wide variety of product marketing initiatives. This position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee all marketing activities, including marketing communication/messaging, product marketing, market research, digital marketing, public relations, and customer marketing. 

  • Develop comprehensive marketing strategies with the CCO aligned with the company's overall business objectives and growth targets and execute strategies. 

  • Develop and implement effective brand and positioning strategies to enhance the company's reputation and visibility in the cellular engineering/cell therapy markets. 

  • Contribute to ensuring the organization understands and follows a new product introduction/product life-cycle management process of Kytopen’s technology portfolio with close collaboration with R&D to launch Kytopen’s product marketing strategy globally.

  • Define Kytopen’s event strategy to drive lead generation - host digital events and organize and execute domestic and international conferences and tradeshows.

  • Identify and develop campaign and content strategies to drive lead generation and ensure the creation of assets that resonate with the target audience, reflect an appropriate level of scientific content and showcase the Kytopen brand, including composing and/or providing guidance on press releases and corporate articles. 

  • Develop meaningful relationships with key customers and key opinion leaders and incorporate customer data and stories in marketing content and events. 

  • Collaborate with external creative vendors ensuring consistency in the branding, positioning, and messaging

  • Build and lead a high-performing product management and marketing organization and as required, provide strategic direction and mentorship.

  • Conduct market research and commercial data analysis to identify market trends, opportunities and competitive landscape. 

  • Manage marketing /sales tech stack- HubSpot- CRM, CMS, Website, Order to Cash process. 

  • Measure, analyze, and report on marketing performance metrics to assess ROI and identify areas for improvement. 

  • Manage and optimize marketing budgets to ensure efficient allocation of resources. 
     

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior marketing leadership roles with a combination of science, strategic marketing, product management, and/or communications in a Life Sciences organization. Cell therapy tools provider experience preferred. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of people management experience. 

  • Experience with a wide range of marketing communications systems and principles. 

  • Strong product development and commercial launch experience and demonstrable proficiency with current marketing technologies is required. 

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies 

  • Experience with interacting and building strong relationships with customers and key opinion leaders. 

  • Demonstrated history in making decisions or recommendations that significantly develop or change organizational policies or procedures.

  • Strong customer focus and dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of external partners.

  • Ability to write executive summaries, technical articles, and all forms of marketing collateral. 

  • Ability to make effective and persuasive arguments and presentations on complex topics to internal and external senior management.

  • Ability to respond skillfully to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints and gain the trust of others.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to lead and motivate teams. 

  • Ability to listen empathetically, understand information presented by people with different communication styles and points of view, and resolve disputes.

  • Strong interpersonal communicator (written and verbal). 

  • Passion for the cell therapy and cellular engineering markets.
