About the Role
This role will play a critical leadership role in driving financial strategy, ensuring robust operational execution, and fostering collaboration across teams. This individual will oversee all aspects of the finance function, including accounting, compliance, business finance, fundraising, and strategic planning, while ensuring financial integrity and delivering insights to accelerate business growth.
Financial Operations and Control
● Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
● Manage monthly and annual financial closing processes with stringent timelines.
● Oversee financial reporting, including MIS and statutory financial statements, to provide clear and actionable insights to stakeholders and investors.
● Ensure accurate payroll processing, vendor payouts, and reconciliation of accounts.
● Maintain financial health by establishing and monitoring robust internal controls.
Compliance and Governance
● Oversee legal, regulatory, and risk management processes to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
● Handle day-to-day taxation, audit, and banking operations while developing and implementing policies to maintain governance standards.
● Facilitate clearances for vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and statutory obligations, including TDS and other payouts.
Strategic Finance and Business Partnering
● Analyze key business drivers such as revenue, margins, growth trends, and operational efficiency.
● Provide recommendations to senior management on business opportunities, backed by financial modeling and scenario analysis.
● Partner with business teams to drive commercial decision-making, risk management, and process improvement initiatives.
● Support the founders in fundraising and investor relations by preparing financial models, presentations, and strategic insights.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) with 9–13 years of post-qualification experience.
- Industry Experience: Proven track record in high-growth environments, preferably in e-commerce, consumer products, or retail industries.
- Skills:
- Strong expertise in financial control, reporting, and strategic planning.
- Exceptional analytical abilities to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
- Outstanding business acumen with the ability to challenge and support business leaders.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
