The Growth team at SoLo exists to make growth and the analysis of it more effective and efficient. We are the connective tissue binding the tools, technology, product, engineering, data, and individual team initiatives across SoLo to drive usage of the ecosystem forward. SoLo is looking for a highly innovative VP of Growth with deep experience in marketplace growth. You will be responsible for driving the dual sided audience-first strategy, execution, and expansion of SoLo paid and organic growth opportunities. The ideal candidate has an understanding of performance marketing, execution of brand, messaging, and audience strategies throughout the user journey, and how to build and manage a Growth team. We welcome candidates in the LA or NYC areas.

What You'll Do

  • Strategize and craft a comprehensive marketing strategy for a discerning marketplace business 
  • Drive and lead network effects growth
  • Analyze and measure impact of such strategy and build out measurement tools, practices, and process
  • Be the subject matter expert in marketing and growth technology; understand our existing platform landscape and how to optimize it
  • Work in a small, cross-functional, dynamic growth team to unlock the potential of SoLo’s growth technology and the teams who leverage it
  • Partner and embed with data, engineering, and product teams across SoLo to drive implementation and adoption of the stack
  • Be responsible for creating a comprehensive growth strategy
  • Work on product marketing and CRM initiatives to drive not only new user acquisition but continuous engagement and retention, cohort marketing and more
  • Manage a team of cross-functional marketers and support marketing and creative, copy needs through-out the organization
  • Own the website, and all owned and operated channels

You're a Great Fit if You Have:

  • PRIOR MARKETPLACE EXPERIENCE 
  • EXPERIENCE WITH BRAZE
  • 6+ years of professional experience with evidence of increasing responsibility including product management, marketing or growth and owning a budget
  • Strategic and tactical experience designing, building and executing scalable processes, ideally in an operations-intensive environment
  • Knowledge of key consumer application growth product areas
  • Exceptional quantitative skills and aptitude
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Creative problem-solver with excitement to work on cross-functional teams and projects
  • A passion for marketplaces and the lending economy
