About the role:

This is a senior finance leadership position at the intersection of financial operations, growth strategy, and investor readiness. As VP of Finance, you will be a key member of the executive committee, reporting directly to the COO and working in close partnership to drive the financial strategy that powers fundcraft's next phase of growth.

The timing matters: fundcraft is actively preparing for its next fundraising round, and this role is central to the internal effort. You will build the financial models, sharpen the metrics, and ensure the numbers tell a clear and compelling story, working closely with the leadership team who lead the external process.

You will own the financial operations across fundcraft's Luxembourg, Spanish, and French entities, lead a team of 5 finance professionals, and serve as the internal engine behind the financial rigour that underpins every major business decision.

This role is a genuine opportunity to grow: as fundcraft scales, so does the mandate. The right person will have a clear path toward taking on broader strategic and external responsibilities over time.

Key responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Planning & Insights

  • Own the company's long-term financial planning process, including revenue forecasting, unit economics analysis, and profitability roadmap.
  • Define and track board-level KPIs, providing actionable insights that drive commercial decision-making.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to surface trends, variances, and opportunities across the business.

Financial Storytelling & Growth Strategy

  • As fundcraft scales, contribute to the groundwork for future corporate development activity including partnerships and potential M&A evaluation.
  • Own the financial narrative of fundcraft internally: defining the metrics, benchmarks, and growth story that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, compelling insights for the leadership team.
  • Partner with the executive team to develop and pressure-test long-range growth plans, scenario models, and investment theses.
  • Identify and size strategic opportunities: new markets, pricing levers, or product expansion, grounded in rigorous financial analysis.

Financial Operations Oversight

  • Own and evolve the financial operations across all entities - ensuring excellence in FP&A, compliance, tax, treasury, and accounting today, while building the scalable infrastructure to support fundcraft's growth and geographic expansion tomorrow.
  • Ensure robust internal controls, regulatory compliance, and accurate financial reporting across all three jurisdictions.
  • Manage transfer pricing, inter company recharging, and tax strategies across Luxembourg, Spain, and France, ensuring a low-risk and compliant position in each.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a direct team of 5 finance professionals: fostering a culture of excellence, analytical rigour, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other key financial partners across all entities.

Investor Readiness & Financial Transparency

  • Ensure the company's financials are audit-ready, clearly structured, and presented to the highest standard at all times.
  • Define and monitor KPIs across all teams, tracking and reporting on key financial metrics that matter to investors, leadership, and the board - proactively flagging risks and opportunities.
  • Support the leadership team in fundraising processes by providing robust financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses that underpin fundcraft's narrative when needed.
  • Prepare financial materials for investor-facing contexts - including data room content, financial summaries, and KPI dashboards - in close collaboration with the COO and CEO.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA a strong plus.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience, with meaningful time at VP, Director, or equivalent level; we care more about the depth and relevance of your experience than a specific number of years.
  • Proven ability to build investor-grade financial models and materials that support fundraising or capital markets processes.
  • Experience working closely with senior leadership on financial strategy and planning in a high-growth environment.
  • Experience managing financial operations across multiple EU jurisdictions, with hands-on operating experience within the European regulatory and compliance landscape; familiarity with Luxembourg, Spain, and/or France is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with the alternative asset management or financial services regulatory landscape is a strong plus.
  • AI-native mindset: actively leverages AI tools and technologies to drive efficiency, sharpen financial analysis, and elevate the output of the finance function.
  • Proven track record of scaling tech businesses through periods of rapid growth.
Skills & Behaviours
  • Exceptional analytical and commercial acumen: able to connect financial data to business outcomes and influence senior decision-making.
  • Strong financial modelling skills with the ability to move easily between high-level strategy and granular detail.
  • Clear, confident communicator: able to present complex financial information simply and credibly to internal senior stakeholders
  • Proven leadership capability: track record of building and developing high-performing finance teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, fast-paced environments, and building processes from the ground up.
  • High integrity and sound judgement, particularly in high-stakes financial and governance situations.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish and/or French are a meaningful advantage.

Benefits
  • Join a culture that celebrates creativity and welcomes innovative, disruptive ideas, empowering you to make a real impact.
  • Immerse yourself in a fast-paced, diverse workplace where you'll have the chance to collaborate and learn from specialists across various fields, fostering personal and professional growth.
  • Embrace automation and seamless tech integration in your workflows⚙, while our platform boosts operations through tech leverage, ensuring you stay ahead of the curve and updated with new technologies.
  • Work in a comfortable, ergonomic environment within our spacious, modern offices where you can enjoy daily fresh fruit and coffee!
  • Monthly breakfasts organised by the company to unwind and strengthen team connections
