What the role involves:

As the Vice President of Finance, you are a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the financial health, stability, and growth of the organization. This senior executive role involves managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while ensuring compliance with all financial regulations. The VP of Finance serves as a key advisor to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations that drive business decisions and achieve financial objectives.

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide actionable insights for business growth, cost optimization, and risk management.
  • Evaluate and refine financial policies, systems, and processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Conduct detailed financial analyses to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Present comprehensive financial reports to the executive team and board of directors.

Operational Finance Management

  • Supervise accounting, treasury, tax, and audit functions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and compliance with GAAP/IFRS and other regulatory standards.
  • Optimize cash flow, investment strategies, and capital structure to support business needs.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the finance department.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluations for finance staff.

Mergers, Acquisitions, and Growth Initiatives

  • Support business expansion strategies, including M&A due diligence and integration.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and advise on financial implications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new ventures and initiatives.
Requirements

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale budgets, financial planning, and team leadership.
  • Experience in [industry-specific knowledge, e.g., tech, manufacturing, healthcare, etc.] is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a focus on influencing stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
  • High integrity, with a commitment to ethical financial practices.

Location

IOG is a fully distributed organization but due to team distribution, we require someone to be based in the United States.

The base salary for this position has a range of $220k up to $260k per year at the commencement of employment. Any offer is determined by overall experience and performance during the interview process. This is only part of the total compensation package.
