As a VP Finance you will have overall responsibility for the financial operations of the business, including finance & accounting, compliance with statutory requirements, corporate governance and performing risk management by analysing the organisation’s liabilities and investments.
- Lead the G&A function.
- Be responsible for all accounting transactions, financial reporting, tax, and risk management.
- Be a business partner to the Business Unit leader and the wider management team.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Management
- Support CEO and functional managers to develop clear business plans, priorities, and forecasts in line with +/- 5% forecast accuracy targets.
- Lead a finance team that delivers excellent pro-active service to its stakeholders.
- Provide strategic financial leadership on issues affecting the business.
- Recommend and lead efforts to improve ROIC (return on invested capital), working capital and/or growth performance.
Finance & Reporting
- Accountable for accurate and timely monthly/quarterly consolidated financial reporting to ensure compliance of internal and external reporting and requirements in accordance with IFRS.
- Accountable for project accounting and controlling.
- Monitor and input on key metrics of individual customer contracts.
- Monitor and enforce Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Manage ‘Quarterly Strategic Review’ (QSR) process, using extensive Excel modelling, pipeline and costs analysis to prepare a robust forecast
- Ensure execution of action points from the Quarterly Strategic Review process
Governance & Risk
- Apply best practices to processes, people, and systems to affect revenue, profitability and cash-flow, to improve operating efficiency and performance.
- Lead and implement introduction of new systems and processes such as new financial systems, expense management and other reporting systems.
- Responsible for Risk Management process review, effective internal controls, policy standardization and process improvements.
- Responsible for intercompany transactions and transfer pricing documentation
- Oversee and improve effective administration processes and systems for company records and contracts.
- Stay abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance for the finance functions.
Legal
- Work closely with all functional leads to ensure projects bids and contract terms, financial and otherwise, adhere to corporate parameters.
- Coordinate all legal activities with VP Group Finance
Skills & Competencies:
- Professional Accounting Designation is required (CPA or equivalent)
- Proven experience as CFO /Director/VP or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices and applications under IFRS
- Proven track record of progressive financial experience in a leadership role and people management
- Software industry experience preferable
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and presentation) with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Works collaboratively by consulting with employees, colleagues, partners, clients, users, and stakeholders.
- Ability to handle a demanding work schedule and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Experience in an international/global business, handling multiple stakeholders and currencies an asset.
- Strong analytical skills in combination with strategic, action-oriented mindset
- Hand-on contributor in all aspects of the finance function
- Team player and outstanding ability to work with and through others.
- Humility, curiosity, and ability to investigate and learn new domains and technologies.
- Ability to travel internationally
