About the Position 

GrowthLoop is seeking a Vice President of Finance to partner directly with GrowthLoop’s founders, to incorporate a data-driven accounting and finance perspective into our growth strategy.  This dynamic and high-impact position will be a core member of our executive leadership team, with the opportunity to drive strategic decision-making and provide meaningful business insights to the rest of the management team, our Board of Directors, and our private equity partners.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis, Accounting, Budgeting, and Forecasting

  • Perform regular detailed analytical reviews and make recommendations for improved financial performance.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and the month-end close process.
  • Recommend and support enhancements to our financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
  • Drive a thoughtful and thorough approach to budgeting and forecasting which includes inputs from all necessary functional leaders and establish a routine cadence of comparing actual results to these budgets and forecasts and preparing detailed explanations for variances.
  • Lead financial reporting efforts for monthly reviews, Board of Director presentations, operational reporting, and numerous ad hoc reporting requests.

Financial Management

  • Provide consultation to internal business leaders to support decision-making and drive operational improvements.
  • Operate as a thought partner for Sales to negotiate and finalize commercial terms for net new customer contracts. 
  • Serve as the main point of contact for outside auditors during annual audits.
  • Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the organization's plans and operating budgets.
  • Manage outside tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely tax related filings and analysis.
  • Represent the company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, and outside auditors.
  • Remain current on accounting best practices and specific accounting guidance unique to GrowthLoop’s industry.  Leverage the necessary third parties to ensure GrowthLoop remains in good standing and up to date on various reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Manage relationships with company’s insurance brokers, gain an understanding of proposed programs related costs and strategies to maintain appropriate coverage at the most competitive prices.
  • Work closely with other business leaders and outside counsel as needed to ensure appropriate review of company contracts and other legal obligations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior finance and accounting role.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Private Equity-backed, growth-stage technology company.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Financial Planning and Analysis, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to drive strategic business decisions. 
  • Highly flexible style, willing to solve problems on the fly, adapt to change, and think like a founder
  • Experience with financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control implementation
  • Ability to partner with the executive team to drive the future direction of the company and ensure sound strategic financial decision-making, accounting, and financial management procedures, financial controls, and compliance. financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control implementation

The estimated total cash compensation for this role is $220,000-$250,000, which includes a bonus component. This role will also receive meaningful equity in the Company. 

Please note that final base salary decisions will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, such as the individual’s performance, experience, and qualifications.
