VP, Finance Transformation

Job Description Summary

The Vice President of Finance Transformation will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the company's financial systems and technologies, including Workday Finance, Hyperion and Adaptive Planning. This role involves strategic planning, implementation, governance and management of financial systems to ensure they align with the company’s objectives and compliance requirements. The VP will collaborate with various departments to optimize financial operations, drive efficiency, and support decision-making through advanced financial systems and data analytics.
This role will require strong partnership and collaboration across Finance and IT leadership. A successful candidate will be a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of end-to-end financial processes and applications. A control and process-oriented mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and desire and ability to identify, recommend and lead improvements is also important. This role will require driving and developing system enhancements considering a Global view, to drive consistency while accommodating for local nuances and requirements. This individual will also be a visible leader in the Finance organization, so a strong track record of team leadership is required.

Job Description

Detailed responsibilities include:

Strategic Planning and Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the strategic vision for financial systems and technologies.
  • Lead and manage a team of financial systems professionals, including Controllership and FP&A systems team members.
  • Collaborate with Finance and IT leadership and other executives to align financial systems strategies with overall business objectives.

System Implementation and Optimization:

  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of financial systems and applications.
  • Ensure that financial systems are integrated effectively with other business systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement and process efficiency though use of new tools and automation deployment, including use of RPA, citizen development, Power BI, Alteryx, etc.

Financial Reporting and Analytics:

  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting systems and processes for both internal and external reporting.
  • Implement advanced analytics and reporting tools to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain system integrity.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure that financial systems comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards and internal policies (including but not limited to US GAAP, IFRS, SEC and statutory regulations).
  • Implement controls and protocols to safeguard financial data, mitigate risks and ensure SOX compliance.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in financial systems and assess their potential impact on the organization.

Project Management:

  • Establish and maintain governance around our Financial Data Management (FDM) to improve alignment and consistency of data structures across systems.
  • Lead key projects related to financial systems, including system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
  • Develop project plans, allocate resources, and manage budgets to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with all finance stakeholders, as well as other departments, to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers related to financial systems.
  • Evaluate and select vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee service delivery.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.



The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.



The compensation for the position is: $221,680.00 - $260,800.00
