The Role:
Andesite is looking for a VP of Engineering to lead our product development efforts.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead product engineering including frontend, backend, and production AI capabilities
- Develop engineering roadmaps and operations plans
- Grow a team of software engineers from and data scientists, ranging from generalists to specialists. Expect to grow the team from about 20 to at least double within 12 months.
- Manage development and operations for a fast-growing enterprise product, supporting a wide range of deployment environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and sales, to define and deliver innovative solutions that meet market needs and align with company strategy
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team, encouraging knowledge sharing and mentorship
Who You Are:
- Demonstrated scaling a startup engineering organization to 50+ employees
- Have delivered products involving AI at scale involving a breadth of technologies spanning frontend, backend, and machine learning / AI
- Strong at operations, team building, and delivery
- Possess strong technical depth with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- A passion for cybersecurity and generative AI technologies, with a desire to push the envelope in both respects
Even Better If You Have:
- Experience delivering generative AI solutions or products, including developing models, infrastructure, training pipelines
- Familiarity with security concepts, tools, and solutions, such as threat detection, vulnerability scanning, encryption, or authentication

Salary range: $250,000 - $275,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience, skills, and other factors.
