INTRODUCTION:

Are you ready to shape the future of fitness?  ABC Fitness is seeking an experienced Engineering Leader to drive the strategy and development of our extensive mobile and web ecosystem. This includes our industry-leading fitness platform, Trainerize, as well as our custom branded applications in Ignite and Glofox. ABC Trainerize is a highly rated, industry leading platform used by personal trainers and clubs in the fitness industry to connect with their clients. Our member facing applications allow members to interface with their gym membership and manage classes, club entry, payments, and more. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:     

• Be a Strong Technologist: Drive unification of the technology that underpins all the ABC mobile ecosystems. 

• Lead with Example: Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and collaborative organization. 

• Create High Functioning Teams: Set ambitious goals and guide your leaders and team members to achieve them. 

• Drive Product Innovation: Work with the product team, team leads, subject matter experts, and peers to create innovative solutions through a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement. 

• Be a Strategic Thinker: Help drive platform growth and innovation in the fitness space. 

• Be Agile: Adapt to the constantly changing mobile technology landscape to drive business success. 

• Foster a Positive Culture: Promote work-life balance, encourage open communication, honest feedback, smart experiments, and great product solutions 

• Build Strong Relationships: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, build trust and strong relationships across peer group and other areas of the organization 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 

• Proven experience leading mobile engineering teams and delivering successful products. 

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.  

• A proven track record of building and scaling similar platforms, who has transitioned into a leadership role, driving platform strategy and development. 

• Experience using the technology and skills needed to create solutions in these technologies, such as React Native, Swift, Kotlin or other technologies. 

• A passion for building products that improve people’s lives. 

• Deep experience building mobile development platforms, iOS and Android, including wearable technology. 

• An ability to balance product delivery goals, technical debt, technical improvements while delivering with quality. 

• Experience with Cloud Services provided services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. 

• Demonstrated experience managing a complex application deployment system that supports delivering thousands of customized applications to market. 

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. 

• 7+ years’ experience in a senior management position.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and location, as well as market and business considerations. Our pay range for U.S. based candidates for this position is $204,301 -- $250,000 USD annually. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses and commissions.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and location, as well as market and business considerations. Our pay range for Canada based candidates for this position is $233,751-- $290,808 CAD annually. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses and commissions.
