BDG is seeking a highly experienced Vice President of Engineering to join our Product & Engineering Leadership Team. Reporting directly to our Chief Technology Officer, this individual will play a pivotal role in driving the technical vision, strategy, and execution to empower our platforms’ growth and innovation.

Who You Are
You will lead a dynamic team of engineers, overseeing the development of scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions that redefine the media landscape. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep technical expertise, a passion for driving excellence, and a relentless focus on delivering exceptional experiences for our clients and readers.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define the company's technical roadmap, aligning engineering initiatives with business objectives and market trends.
- Lead and inspire a diverse, high-performing engineering team to deliver world-class products and solutions, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Ensure optimal resource assignments on a daily and weekly basis to maximize the productivity and output of the engineering team.
- Define and communicate a clear technical vision, driving architectural decisions and ensuring alignment with BDG’s long-term goals.
- Work closely with product management, design, and other stakeholders to prioritize features, resolve technical challenges, and drive product innovation.
- Champion agile methodologies and best practices, fostering a culture of agility, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear goals and KPIs for the engineering team, tracking performance and providing regular feedback to drive accountability and growth.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams in high-growth environments.
- Strong technical acumen and proven expertise in engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices, essential for guiding and collaborating with cross-functional teams towards innovative technical solutions
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor, and develop engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for technology and innovation, with a curiosity to explore emerging trends and technologies in the media technology space and the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and drive innovation.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, trust, and transparency.
