This is a dual-charter executive role — one of the most significant engineering leadership positions at 6sense.
Charter One : Platform & Infrastructure Ownership.You will lead our global platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, SRE, developer productivity, and product integrations functions — the technical foundations that every 6sense product depends on.
Charter Two: India Site Leadership.You will serve as the senior-most engineering leader in India, owning the culture, engagement, organizational regional health, and long-term operating model for 6sense's India engineering centre. You will be the voice of India engineering at the executive table and the anchor of a high-performing, mission-aligned India team.
This role requires someone who operates with equal fluency as a site leader and a technical executive.
What You Will Own :Platform & InfrastructureLead global teams across platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, SRE, product integrations, and developer productivity
Own the technical roadmap for the platform layer — scalability, reliability, security, and performance at scale
Drive cloud strategy, FinOps discipline, and AI/ML infrastructure to support 6sense's product ambitions
Partner with product and data engineering leadership to align infrastructure investment with business priorities
Champion engineering excellence: quality, operational maturity, developer experience, and sustainable velocity
Lead global teams across platform engineering, infrastructure, cloud operations, integrations, and SRE
Leverage generative AI and AI coding tools to accelerate developer productivity, engineering workflows, and automation of repetitive tasks
Define and execute long-term AWS cloud strategy focused on availability, security, performance, and cost optimization
Scale distributed systems architecture to support global growth and AI workloads
Improve developer velocity through internal platforms, tooling, and automation
Define and execute a multi-year India Engineering engagement strategy — one that builds organizational identity, deepens connection to company mission, and elevates India's strategic voice in a globally distributed structure
Own the culture, ownership mindset, and team health across all India-based engineering teams — not only your direct organisation
Build leadership depth within India: identify, develop, and retain the next generation of engineering leaders; create the operating rhythms and accountability frameworks that scale
Act as the primary representative of India engineering to global leadership, the board, and external stakeholders — articulating a compelling, long-term vision for what India Engineering is becoming at 6sense
Define the long-term India operating model: how the centre scales, how it integrates with global teams, and how it grows its strategic contribution over a 3–5 year horizon
18+ years of engineering experience with at least 5+ years in VP-level or equivalent executive leadership
Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure), distributed systems, SRE, and developer platform engineering
Proven experience as a site leader for a large engineering centre
Experience leading organisations of 200+ engineers across multiple functional domain
Demonstrated track record of building and sustaining engineering culture — including ownership, engagement, and high performance — at scale
Ability to articulate a multi-year vision for India Engineering that is compelling to engineers, executives, and external talent — not just technically sound, but narratively resonant
Track record of operating credibly at the C-suite level: shaping strategy, driving cross-functional decisions, and representing engineering in business forums
