Position Summary

The VP, Digital Strategy sets the digital product market strategy and leads the roadmap for future growth within the Digital business unit in support of the company’s overall financial and strategic objectives. Reporting to the President, Digital and partnering closely with peers across the organization, the VP, Digital Strategy is a data driven, entrepreneurial minded person will leverage their passion to assess the market landscape and drive strategic new revenue streams and business models through new partnerships and/or investments.

The VP, Digital Strategy will play a pivotal role in driving the digital expansion beyond the core aspects of our product. You will be responsible for co-developing and executing innovative strategies that align cross-functional teams, enabling rapid growth and ensuring the highest quality experiences for lotteries globally. Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities will be crucial to your success in this role.  While the role will start as a senior individual contributor, the expectation is that the leader will build a team over time to execute strategic business opportunities identified.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the creation of a comprehensive product strategy to establish and grow Scientific Games’ position both within and beyond the traditional iLottery market.
  • Assess the market landscape and lead business development/partnership initiatives, coordinating with relevant stakeholders across the organization.
  • Assess, improve, and implement an optimal go-to-market strategy, leveraging a data driven funnel, metrics, KPIs and a robust performance structure to support execution.
  • Identify net new opportunities to drive increased value to customers through the introduction of new experiences/products that serve to expand the reach of iLottery.
  • Develop and expand upon existing digital product and service offerings to drive growth and enhance Scientific Games’ competitive advantage. Drive product development strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and execution linked to robust product development.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, market performance, and technological advancements, refining strategies proactively to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Present and communicate performance and long-range plan to key stakeholders, including members of the executive leadership team.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in strategic leadership roles (ideally with experience in ecommerce/omnichannel, mobile gaming or social content platforms), with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role, preferably in a high-growth, complex environment.
  • Experience leveraging data analysis & user insights for user base growth & platform enhancement and a passion for creative innovation.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to balance visionary goals with day-to-day operational realities.
  • Experience driving strategic partnerships to deliver high-impact customer experience outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders
  • Proven expertise in managing and influencing globally distributed teams and complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and deliver results against financial targets.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, integration, and divestitures.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of motivating and guiding/influencing large, diverse teams.
  • Proven success in collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to execute complex initiatives.
  • A competitive edge, as shown by achieving and surpassing ambitious growth targets from the ground up to scale up businesses.
  • MBA a plus
