About the RoleAs the Vice President of Data, you will define and drive the company’s data vision, leading the strategy and execution across Data Product, Data Science, and Data Analytics. This is a critical leadership role that will
shape how we use data to generate insights, power our SaaS platform, and drive business value across the organization. You’ll report to senior leadership and play a key role in shaping our product, operations, and
go-to-market teams through data.
- Define and champion a unified data vision aligned with business goals.
- Serve as a strategic leader and key voice in company-wide decision-making through data.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance.
- Lead three key functions: Data Product – Develop analytics tools, embedded dashboards, and usage insights, Data Science – Drive predictive modeling, experimentation, and AI/ML features. and Data Analytics – Deliver scalable reporting and actionable intelligence across departments.
- Guide team leads, define org structure, and support ongoing hiring and mentoring efforts.
- Build and promote a data-driven, high-impact culture.
- Foster transparency, curiosity, and continuous improvement across the team.
- Lead post-mortems, quality audits, and key roadmap reviews.
- Set and track key metrics: business impact, delivery velocity, system stability, and data integrity.
- 10+ years of experience in data leadership roles, ideally within a high-growth SaaS company.
- Strong background in building and managing cross-functional data teams (Product, Analytics, Science).
- Hands-on expertise with modern data tools and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Looker).
- Demonstrated success in building data strategies that drive real business impact.
- Experienced in building scalable and compliant data infrastructure (GDPR, SOC 2, etc.).
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with executive presence.
- Proven ability to hire, mentor, and grow senior-level data professionals.
- Strong technical depth and ability to dive into architectural discussions and design reviews.
- Comfortable owning delivery timelines, code quality standards, and technical backlog.
- Passionate about data quality, efficiency, and empowering teams through insights.
