SCOPE OF LEADERSHIP ROLE 

This key Commercial Leadership role will be accountable for driving the strategy and deployment to create best-in-class commercial enablement and customer experience functions with a focus on driving sales productivity and a differentiated customer experience.  They will directly manage several commercial support teams, including Commercial Excellence & Sales Enablement, and Customer Care.  The role will be responsible for defining and measuring key customer and sales KPIs and leading strategies & solutions where improvements are needed to drive revenue growth.  They will help define and enhance the overall cross-functional customer journey to ensure a positive experience through all touch points. Additionally, they will lead the strategy development and delivery of commercial best practices and processes to help the organization maximize profitable growth. 

They will be responsible for managing and leading an extended team of approximately 200+ associates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

Commercial Excellence & Sales Enablement

  • Establishes best in class sales performance tracking processes and analyzes data to identify trends and performance gaps, recommending actionable solutions to meet growth objectives
  • Defines key customer and sales KPIs, leading strategies & solutions to improve sales productivity, improve customer engagement, and drive revenue growth
  • Drives commercial data & analytics process and practices to deliver strategic insights to commercial leaders.  Leverages data & insights to create and present solutions for improving commercial performance
  • Provides strategic oversight to develop, create and deliver commercial best practices, processes, tools, and resources to improve productivity and attain profitable growth
  • Leverages key customer insights to consistently improve pricing, salesforce effectiveness, product mix, customer selection and focus, and distributor management 

Customer Care

  • Drives the strategy and deployment to create a best-in-class customer experience.  Define and enhance the overall cross-functional customer journey to ensure a positive experience through all touch points
  • Understands VOC and translates insights into solutions.  Collaborates heavily with cross-functional, commercial leaders to deliver processes and programs that enhance the overall customer experience. 
  • Drives best in class differentiated customer care and support.  Identifies bottlenecks & areas of improvement and develops solutions that will improve customer satisfaction, quality, responsiveness, and efficiency.  Sets and delivers against defined SLAs.
  • Helps to define and deliver customer communications strategies

Transformation

  • Continuous improvement and RBS with the commercial organization

  • CPQ
  • Pricing strategy, management and execution
  • Price realization and competitive intelligence

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred (MBA) 
  • 15+ years Commercial Leadership experience managing high-performing teams.  Prior experience leading Sales Enablement and Customer Experience for a large, global organization highly preferred
  • Proven success in developing and deploying a Sales Enablement and Customer Experience strategy for a large, multi-national organization
  • Experience leading VOC strategy and initiatives; inclusive of translating insights into innovative solutions that help enhance the overall customer journey; developing, setting, and monitoring key Sales & Customer Experience KPIs; and managing large-scale change initiatives
  • Exceptional communications skills, with the ability to communicate and present effectively to multiple levels across the organization in both one-on-one and group settings.  Proven track record of managing large-scale change initiative(s) by effectively demonstrating collaboration and influencing skills
  • Critical thinking skills to properly identify problem areas & potential solutions.  Prior knowledge and application of 80/20 principles strongly desirable.  
  • Proven experience leveraging multiple sets of input to set a strategic vision; translating the vision into development of key objectives, implementation plans & actions, and key measures / KPIs of what success looks like.  Policy Deployment and strategic planning experience. 
  • Analytical skills to properly interpret data and develop strategic insights 
  • Leadership skills to influence cross functional teams for Continuous Improvement journey
