The Vice President, Corporate Tax plays a key role in the tax department, responsible for addressing tax issues. This role is crucial for the successful implementation of the company's tax strategy. Responsibilities include initiating and implementing tax planning, monitoring industry issues, and analyzing legislative proposals to maximize global tax savings opportunities and contribute to shareholder value while fulfilling tax payment and reporting obligations. You will also be involved in developing tax controversy strategies and advocating with tax examiners.

The position requires an experienced, strategic, and business-oriented leader with strong communication skills and proven success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Devise and implement structural and non-structural tax planning strategies which maximize tax savings that are consistent with all legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Strategic oversight of transfer pricing to ensure robust transfer pricing policies are aligned with planning opportunities.
  • Advise senior corporate and operations executives regarding tax efficient methods of accomplishing acquisitions and dispositions inclusive of the structure and implementation of tax efficient integration solutions.
  • Assist in the drafting of related agreements and perform associated tax due diligence in connection with working with the M&A, legal and accounting teams.
  • Manage relationships and collaborate with external tax advisors regarding tax planning and tax audits.
  • Collaborate with tax reporting team to ensure that tax planning initiatives are properly recorded for tax accounting, tax compliance and financial reporting purposes.
  • Actively monitor changes to US and foreign tax laws and regulations in order to manage risk and identify potential planning opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Taxation or J.D. / LL.M. (taxation) is preferred. A background in finance or accounting is a plus.
  • CPA is a plus.
  • Skilled communicator who can influence, build relationships, and drive change.
  • Ability to apply technical tax rules in a practical business environment and present it in a clear and concise manner to senior management. 

Work Experience

  • At least 10 years of tax research and planning experience, preferably with a law firm, accounting firm and/or public multinational company.
  • Experience with PE owned partnership structures is a plus
  • Demonstrated foundation in federal corporate income tax analysis, particularly subchapter C (corporate organizations, liquidations, distributions, and reorganizations), GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, foreign tax credit planning, withholding taxes and transfer pricing.
  • Experience providing tax advice related to acquisitions and disposition, including experience participating in the diligence process.
  • Experience identifying tax issues, proposing solutions, and following through to ensure proper reporting and implementation.

Salary Pay Range

Minimum :

166,500 USD

Maximum :

264,300 USD
