PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Vice President of Corporate Development is responsible for leading Rite-Hite’s global growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic investments, partnerships, and other corporate initiatives.
This role plays a central part in shaping the company’s long-term direction by identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic opportunities that align with enterprise priorities. The VP of Corporate Development works closely with the CEO, CFO, and executive leadership team to support strategic decision-making and ensure disciplined capital deployment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate Strategy & Market Analysis
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to refine corporate strategy and investment priorities
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
- Assess potential industry disruptions and recommend strategic responses
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute the company’s M&A strategy to support business growth and portfolio evolution
- Identify and evaluate acquisition targets and strategic investment opportunities with our Business Unit Leaders
- Rite-Hite has a focus on proprietary deals, this leader will build relationships with the acquisition targets overtime
- Lead all phases of the deal lifecycle, including sourcing, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and execution
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and business unit leaders to ensure well-structured transactions and smooth integration planning
Financial & Valuation Analysis
- Lead financial modeling, valuation, and return analysis for acquisitions and investments
- Develop investment cases and present recommendations to senior leadership and the Board
- Ensure discipline in deal-making and alignment with enterprise financial objectives
Strategic Partnerships & Investments
- Identify and evaluate joint ventures, partnerships, and investment opportunities
- Structure and manages strategic alliances aligned with business objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with investment banks, private equity firms, venture capital firms, and other external partners
- Partner with SixSibs Capital on direct investment opportunities
Post-Merger Integration & Value Creation
- Partner with business and finance leaders to support integration planning and execution
- Help define synergy targets and track performance against investment assumptions
- Monitor outcomes to ensure transactions deliver expected strategic and financial value
Executive & Board Engagement
- Prepare and present analyses, investment recommendations, and strategic insights to executive leadership and the Board
- Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and CFO on strategic opportunities and capital deployment decisions
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- MBA from top tier school, and bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related field
- 10 years of experience, including 3+ years investment banking at a top tier bank, and then either
- 3+ years of private equity experience, (preferred) or
- 3+ years of corporate development experience
- Proven track record of executing M&A transactions and strategic partnerships
- Experience working closely with senior finance leadership and contributing to investment or capital allocation decisions
- Exposure to post-acquisition integration or operating environments, and additional leadership experience is preferred
