About the Department

Group International Management (“GIM”) looks after the Group’s international banking franchise and also houses the Group Foreign Direct Investment Advisory unit.

Job Responsibilities

• The Business Management function supports Head of GIM on performance management, management routines and strategic initiatives of the business units within GIM.

• Performance management - Support the setting and tracking of business unit performance measures and deliverables.

• Analytics and action plans - Maintain data repositories, conduct research and develop tools and presentations to facilitate analysis, insights, reporting and action plans.

• Project management - Support planning and running of regional events and activities, including townhalls and offsites.

• Management routines - Support routines, dialogues and cadences between GIM and business units, countries or head office functions.

• Execution liaison - Support business/country leadership teams and head office functions in rolling out and driving initiatives across different businesses/countries and functions. Surface key issues/potential derailers and manage follow-ups as needed.

• Strategic partnership ecosystem - Support Group FDI Advisory on growing the partnerships and initiatives with government agencies, trade associations and chambers, and other professional services partners.

• 10X Breakthrough Goals - Drive project management and tracking of deliverables.

Job Requirements

• Good bachelor’s degree

• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ work experience with exposure to finance, consulting, strategy, government / regulatory affairs or business development

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to build relationships with all stakeholders

• Can-do attitude with ability to work independently, handle challenging situations and thrive in ambiguity

• Win-win mentality and out-of-box thinking to drive outcomes in collaboration with other teams

• Growth mindset with strong narrative writing, quantitative, critical-thinking, creative problem-solving and process design skills that can translate analysis into actions that are additive to business outcomes

• Disciplined planning and organizational skills, highly resourceful, tech-savvy

• Trade / investment policy and project management experience (track record of spearheading projects from concept to completion) will be a plus

• Advanced Excel (VBA), Word and PowerPoint
