Job DescriptionThe Vice President, Bose Technology Center - China is the most senior in-country leader responsible for driving Bose’s platform-based B2B technology businesses across China. This role will jointly report to the President of Bose Audio Technologies and the President of Bose Automotive. As part of Bose’s growth strategy, the company is actively delivering new platform-driven growth anchored in edge software, IP licensing, and integrated systems. China represents a critical market for scaling these models across industries including consumer electronics, communications, gaming, health & wellness, and transportation, among others. This role sits at the intersection of market development, platform scaling, and global strategy execution.
The Vice President will:
• represent Bose externally across key ecosystems in China
• drive commercial growth across multiple B2B business models
• build and lead customer centric operating models
• attract, grow and develop local talent to deliver on the strategy
• ensure strong alignment between local execution and global platform strategy
This is not a traditional country General Manager role. The mandate is to enable local market success while reinforcing a unified global platform, not creating a regional silo. This role requires a leader who can balance customer relationships and deal-making in China with platform discipline and global enterprise alignment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Leadership & External Representation
• Serve as the senior executive representative of Bose in China across multiple industries.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with OEMs, ecosystem partners, regulators and key stakeholders.
• Position Bose as a strategic technology and platform partner, not a component supplier.
• Represent Bose in industry forums, partnerships, and high-level engagements.
• Represent Bose in regional and local government engagements
Platform Business Development & Growth
• Drive commercial growth across Bose’s B2B models - Software platforms, IP licensing, and Integrated systems solutions
• Develop and close strategic partnerships aligned with global priorities.
• Translate local market opportunities into scalable platform plays, avoiding one-off customization.
• Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of platform-aligned opportunities.
Local Leadership, Global Integration
• Lead a lean in-region team while influencing broader functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, etc.
• Operate effectively within a matrixed organization, ensuring strong alignment with global functions and consistent execution of global strategy
• Act as the bridge between China and global leadership, ensuring bi-directional clarity and alignment.
• Build and manage the Bose China culture across several offices
• Foster and maintain relationships with other Bose business units in region to streamline operations and maximize efficiency of all investments.
Governance & Operating Discipline
• Establish strong operating cadence and governance across China activities.
• Provide clear visibility into pipeline and bookings, performance vs plan, key risks, and market dynamics
• Ensure compliance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and partnership frameworks
• Drive disciplined execution while maintaining speed in a dynamic market.
Platform Integrity & Strategic Scaling
• Ensure that all China-based activities reinforce Bose’s platform-first model by promote reuse and scalability and avoiding fragmentation into bespoke local solutions
• Contribute to shaping global platform roadmap, China-specific strategy within global context, and build/buy/partner decisions
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
15+ years of experience in technology-driven industries such as semiconductors, software platforms, and systems businesses
Proven experience operating within the China B2B technology ecosystem
Demonstrated success in building strategic partnerships and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals
Experience working in matrixed global organizations
Strong understanding of platform-based business models (software, IP, systems)
Fluent English required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working across multiple industries (e.g., consumer electronics, automotive, compute, etc.)
Background in companies transitioning from product to platform models
Experience engaging with government or regulatory stakeholders in China
Experience scaling partnerships across global and local teams
