What you’ll do at Elekta
At Elekta, we don’t just build technology. We build hope for everyone dealing with cancer. In the role as VP and Head of Marketing and Sales Neuro Solutions, you will lead and manage the overall commercial interface with the Regional Business Line Leads in the regions, including product and clinical marketing, commercialisation activities, product positioning, and pricing.
The core objective is to drive commercial success for the business line in terms of internal mind share, market share, growth, margin development and superior customer perception.
The VP and Head of Marketing and Sales Neuro Solutions will drive the delivery of the orders and sales in line with the strategic business line plan as agreed in the Business Line Neuro Management Team and in Executive Management.
The position is a part of the Neuro Solutions Management Team and reports to the Senior Vice President Neuro Solutions.
Responsibilities
In addition to the above, the VP and Head of Marketing and Sales Neuro Solutions will also be responsible for:
- Develop and maintain a strategic sales and marketing plan for the respective products that capture market assessment, objectives and activity plan in close collaboration with regional marketing and BL-Leads.
- Monitor order, revenue, and margin performance with Regional BL Leads in Sales and Marketing and adjust strategic plan/approach when needed.
- Drive continuous margin improvement by strategic pricing plans for each region.
- Develop Go-To-Market strategies for focus countries and regions together with the BL-leads
- Ensure Market Access prioritisation together with product management and RA
- Drive new order BL objectives together with, and through, the Regional BL Leads.
- Drive Backlog Conversion and ensure timely project execution and revenue recognition.
- Develop value proposition and messaging based on customer needs and market environment which differentiates Elekta’s offering in the marketplace.
- Overall positioning and pricing and bundling strategy of the products in the portfolio and tailored to different markets.
- Translate positioning and value proposition to communication that can be used to create sales enablement tools such as case studies, website copy, campaigns and events.
- Gain customer insights, understand customer wants, needs and problems.
- Evaluate the portfolio versus customer needs and competitive actions to identify opportunities combining regional inputs into a global plan.
- Ensure regional/operational plans & executions are in alignment with global sales and marketing plan.
- Line management responsibility for direct reports, including target setting, coaching and performance management.
What you bring
To be successful in the position as VP and Head of Marketing and Sales Neuro Solutions, we believe that you have:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, a Master’s degree and/or MBA is preferred.
- Demonstrable experience in relevant market development.
- Hand-on sales experience with demonstrable success.
- Significant senior management experience in an international marketing and/or sales role/s.
- Sufficient understanding of the market, products, and clinical usage of the BL’s products.
- Experience from a global leadership role, working across regions and cultures.
- Persistent and persuasive behaviour to win and drive cross-functional initiatives.
- High standard of interpersonal skills, based on a strong ethical standard, values and good judgement.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Results-driven, self-starting, and entrepreneurial mindset, not shying away from doing groundwork when needed.
- Availability for international travel required, up to ~30-40%
