Who You'll Work With:

The Americas Product Strategy & Development team sits within the Client Group and is responsible for all product initiatives across Alliance Bernstein’s (“AB”) US Retail and North America Institutional business channels.  The team is responsible for working and collaborating across the organization driving new product strategy and prioritization, overseeing new product development implementation and ensuring the firm’s current product line is optimally positioned in the marketplace. AB’s product lineup currently consists of over 60 product platforms, 250 strategies, 500 vehicles and 6,000 share classes.

What You'll Do:

The VP/Investments Product Strategy & Development - Americas role has the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the firm’s investment product strategy in alignment with strategic and corporate growth objectives

  • Evaluate investment market trends, distribution channel dynamics, competitor fund offerings and core competencies to drive thoughtful new product ideation

  • Identify product gaps, opportunities and competitive positioning to strategically align the organization around high potential new product opportunities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization including distribution and investments leadership to drive new product decision making and prioritization

  • Develop comprehensive business cases in support of new product proposals

  • Lead end-to-end product development processes including oversight of internal and fund board review and approvals

  • Work with key functional areas to ensure operational readiness and scalability for new product introductions

  • Systematically review AB’s product line to ensure the current offering is positioned appropriately in the marketplace.

  • Propose product actions to optimize the offering including pricing changes, investment strategy enhancements, and/or fund rationalizations

What We’re Looking For:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in investment product or related role

  • Comprehensive understanding of capital markets, investment vehicles, and the marketplace (especially US Retail and North America Institutional)

  • Proven ability to develop and launch successful investment products across multiple channels

  • Demonstrated leadership and influence with cross functional teams and senior leadership

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to simplify complex investment ideas

  • Experience with industry databases (e.g., Morningstar, Simfund and Bloomberg)

  • Adept with Microsoft office suite

  • Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, CFA)

  • A strong team contributor, self-starter and a role model for work ethic and professionalism.
