This position is primarily responsible for the design, implementation, and support of the physical and virtual environment with emphasis on VDI and all supporting ancillary systems such as email gateway proxies, application delivery and the like. This position will work with the Network Services Manager to develop and maintain standards related to the VMware environment (regarding high availability, capacity planning and VDI performance strategies), Application Delivery and Profile Management. This position is responsible for the analysis and resolution of technology limitations as they arise and developing, testing, and piloting emerging solutions. This position will assist in the development of procedures and documentation that address regulatory requirements and interface with internal and external auditors. This position is responsible for the acquisition of hardware, software and limited external vendor services. This position provides leadership and a mentoring role for the Network and Desktop Support teams. This is an on-call position that does require limited after hours support along with weekend duties for special project based support and implementation.
Bachelor’s degree with a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, EE or comparable discipline preferred.
