Visual Studio Developer

Job Summary:
This position will be involved with all aspects of programming focus in analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining programs in a Microsoft Visual Studios environment which will supplement the ERP system (E21), manufacturing, warehouse/shipping, engineering, and management.
 
Essential Functions:

1. Maintain existing in-house software using Visual Studio
2. Design, test and develop new in-house software using Visual Studio and VB
3. Research technologies and develop plans for improvement projects.
4. Ascertain IT department skills and develop a plan to cross-train members as needed.
5. Provide support for user technical issues and assist with training.
6. Documentation of code (current and updates), procedures and uses.
7. Work with other departments to understand the needs and refinement of applications.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Train and support users
2. Prepare customized IT reports.
3. Ability to assist with helpdesk tickets regarding hardware or software from time to time.
4. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Degree in Computer Science (or 2 additional years working experience in lieu of degree)
2. 4 years of programming experience; VB, Visual Studio, .NET frameworks
3. SQL usage and management experience
4. Windows Server 2016 and later experience
5. Visual Studio experience – a working knowledge of VB is required.
6. Basic understanding of TCP/IP and VOIP
7. Client/Server applications
8. Project management skills
9. Good time-management skills
10. Ability to work independently and on a team.
11. Strong people skills, ability to interact with basic and advanced users.
12. Ability to take work through high pressure situations.
13. Knowledge advancement in newer programming languages to help adapt to newer technical standards.
14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
15. Experience in a manufacturing environment (desired)
16. Proficient in proper documentation of code and procedures
