The design team at Motorola Solutions is tasked with envisioning the future of technology while bringing to market real world solutions today. Our portfolio contains an ecosystem of applications designed to bring mission-critical intelligence from the command center to in-field operations. This includes a suite of communication, collaboration, and workflow apps. Real, professional, tools.
The design team includes Interaction Designers, UI Designers, Industrial Designers and User Experience & Human Factors Researchers. We work closely with our development partners to ensure the best end-to-end solutions.
Job Description

Work in a small team envisioning the future, designing end to end solutions for in-field users across diverse areas, including government, public safety and enterprise. Be an integral part of a growing team that is involved in strategic and innovative projects that will lead the company's vision. Collaborate with UX researchers to capture and synthesize insights from the field and UX designers to ideate, prototype and deliver designs to development teams to make them a reality. Contribute to future envisioning efforts in the form of design exercises, brainstorming sessions/workshops as needed within the team.

Basic Requirements

About You

• 4+ years of professional experience in UI design, preferably at a company focused on designing and delivering SaaS solutions 
• You have a passion for, and knowledge of, type, colour, and iconography with a keen eye for visual balance and harmony
• You know how to work with Design Systems - how to use, modify, extend and contribute to the existing ecosystem
• You can partner closely with software development to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of designs
• You collaborate with UX designers to achieve the highest quality user experience given product requirements and constraints
• You pay almost fanatically close attention to every detail
• You have strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• You have an exceptional portfolio of work that demonstrates the ability to design and maintain high quality, consistent user interface designs

Addiotional Requirments

• A proven track record of strategic thinking reflected in your ability to speak about design with clarity and conviction
• Mastery of design tools, including their use in library management and prototype construction. Preference given to applicants with deep knowledge of Figma.
• Functional knowledge of code and experience working directly with developers is a benefit.
• Understanding of the impact of designing for native environments such as Android, iOS and Windows is a plus.
