The role of Visual Designer on Teamfight Tactics oversees the creation of out-of-game UI experiences, ceremonies, celebrations, and player flows. You will report to a Lead Visual Designer while bringing life to UI on PC and mobile. Working within established style and brand, managing assets, and iconography are important. This also involves maintaining source libraries and working with diverse teams to have assets implemented within technical standards. 

As a Visual Design Artist for the Teamfight Tactics AXE initiative, you will contribute to the development of visual experiences for a range of player facing features like themed events, battlepasses, temporary game modes, content promotion, ceremonies / celebrations, and player progression. You will report to an initiative visual design lead while playing a key support role on a team made up of concept artists, illustrators, engineers, UX / game designers, and producers- all collaborating together to create both ephemeral and permanent content for the player experience. 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate under the direction of a visual design lead and the mentorship of senior artists to bring player experiences to life
  • Provide support to a team of other UI artists, UX designers, and engineers to create experiences for the out-of-game PC and mobile client
  • Collaborate with Motion Graphics to bring UI elements to life
  • Develop a keen sense of TFT’s design systems, style usage, and layout, adopting our standards and styles in your own work
  • Create high-quality yet optimized visual assets for our proprietary game engine
  • Maintain clean source files and reinforce project structures and pipelines

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of industry experience working with interactive digital art
  • BA or training in art fundamentals
  • Strong sense of composition, color, value, typography and 2D art fundamentals
  • Understanding of source file library management
  • Manage multiple work streams and keep track of their status
  • Experience with Photoshop, layer comps, blending modes

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Figma
  • Experience designing player flows on both PC and Mobile
  • Experience designing microsites or time-limited "take over" events
  • Experience working with UI in next gen engines
  • Knowledge of League of Legends / Teamfight Tactics IP and style
  • Knowledge of best practices for optimized implementation
