Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Mathematics completed before the position start date.
• Adequate English skills sufficient to allow teaching mathematics at all levels of instruction.

Preferred Qualifications:

• The potential research and ability to function in one of the mathematics research areas of the Department will receive primary considerations.
• Ability to bridge multiple research areas.
• Evidence of the ability to teach effectively in a classroom setting.

Research Areas:

• Applied Mathematics (including Partial Differential Equations and Control Theory)
• Combinatorics (including Graph Theory and Algebraic and Additive Combinatorics)
• Dynamical Systems
• Functional Analysis
• Topology (including Low Dimensional Topology and Knot Theory)

Skills Required

  • Ph.D. in Mathematics completed before the position start date
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.; employer cannot sponsor employment visas
  • Adequate English skills sufficient to allow teaching mathematics at all levels
  • Potential for research in one of the department's mathematics areas
  • Ability to bridge multiple research areas
  • Evidence of effective classroom teaching
