VisionPLUS Business Analyst – Agile Requirements & Financial Services

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking an experienced VisionPLUS Business Analyst with 9–18 years of experience in business analysis and software development projects. The role will lead Business Analyst activities, gather and document business requirements, analyze business processes, and support delivery teams in developing effective solutions for VisionPLUS-related initiatives.The position will contribute to business objectives by improving requirements quality, aligning project outcomes with organizational goals, supporting informed decision-making, managing changes, and enabling effective collaboration between stakeholders, business teams, and technology teams.

Software Requirements

Required

• Experience using business analysis, requirements management, process mapping, documentation, and project tracking tools.

• Proficiency with current and supported versions of tools used for:

  • Requirements gathering and traceability.

  • Process mapping and workflow documentation.

  • Functional specifications and business process documentation.

  • Project planning, issue tracking, and change management.

  • Collaboration, presentations, and stakeholder reporting.

• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile delivery environments.

• Experience creating business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and traceability matrices.

• Experience managing change requests, requirement dependencies, risks, issues, and approvals.

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable technical specifications.

• Ability to use data, process documentation, and stakeholder feedback to support business decisions.

Preferred

• Experience with VisionPLUS-related business analysis, implementation, enhancement, migration, or support projects.

• Knowledge of financial services, banking, cards, lending, payments, account processing, or related operational processes.

• Familiarity with business process modeling and workflow documentation standards.

• Experience using reporting, data analysis, or query tools to validate requirements and business outcomes.

• Experience with requirements traceability, test planning, user acceptance testing, and defect management.

Overall Responsibilities

• Lead the Business Analyst team in gathering, analyzing, validating, and documenting business requirements for projects.

• Work with stakeholders to understand business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and define expected outcomes.

• Create detailed requirement specifications, functional documentation, process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide project development.

• Ensure project requirements are aligned with Synechron’s business goals, delivery objectives, operational needs, and applicable governance standards.

• Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for development and testing teams.

• Manage change requests, assess impacts, maintain requirement traceability, and obtain appropriate stakeholder approvals.

• Track project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and escalate issues when required.

• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, Business Analysts, project teams, technology teams, and delivery management.

• Review proposed solutions to confirm that they address approved business requirements.

• Support test planning, user acceptance testing, defect clarification, release readiness, and post-implementation reviews.

• Identify process improvements that increase operational efficiency, reduce ambiguity, and improve delivery quality.

• Mentor Business Analysts and promote consistent requirements, documentation, and stakeholder management practices.

• Contribute to roadmaps, planning activities, status reporting, and delivery governance.

• Consider operational efficiency, data quality, sustainable processes, and responsible use of technology when defining solutions.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Lead stakeholder interviews, requirements-gathering workshops, process analysis sessions, and review meetings with Business Analysts and project teams.

• Analyze business processes, document requirements, define process improvements, and collaborate with technology teams to confirm solution feasibility.

• Track requirements, change requests, risks, issues, dependencies, project progress, testing activities, and delivery commitments.

• Provide status updates, facilitate issue resolution, make requirement-related decisions within established governance, and escalate matters requiring stakeholder or management intervention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum experience range of 9–18 years in business analysis, software development projects, requirements management, or related technology delivery roles.

• Certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, Scrum, project management, or process improvement are preferred.

• Complete Synechron-required training and maintain continuous professional development in VisionPLUS, business analysis, Agile delivery, financial services processes, data management, and technology practices.
