Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Engineer with extensive experience in virtualization technologies to provide end-user support and ensure efficient troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
The ideal candidate should possess a proactive mindset, strong customer handling skills, and the ability to collaborate with global users and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Troubleshooting & Technical Support: Provide expert support to end users, specifically focusing on virtualization technologies such as Microsoft Hyper-V and Oracle VirtualBox. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues efficiently.
2. Solution-Oriented Approach: Use an inquisitive and can-do attitude to handle the complexities of users’ virtualization needs, offering tailored solutions and implementing best practices to ensure optimal system performance.
3. Customer & Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted consultant for users across the globe, handling escalations effectively and ensuring that issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
4. Documentation & Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive Knowledge Base Articles in our document repository. Create and update customer-facing documentation and contribute to the release management process to ensure seamless service delivery.
5. Performance Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Monitor support metrics to ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs). Work independently to drive improvements and reduce incident and failure ticket rates.
6. Proof of Concept & Evaluation: Conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) evaluations for new virtualization solutions, assessing them from both technical and commercial perspectives to enhance workplace solutions. Job requirement:• Strong experience with virtualization technologies, with specific knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V and Oracle VirtualBox.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex user requirements and devise innovative solutions.
• Proven experience in handling escalations and supporting global users and stakeholders.
• Ability to create detailed, user-friendly documentation and contribute to the knowledge management and release management process.
• Familiarity with support metrics, SLAs, and independent management of support improvements.
• Experience conducting Proof of Concept (PoC) evaluations of new virtualization technologies.
