Join Skaylink, part of Vodafone, where cloud expertise meets global scale. You'll manage and optimize secure VMware and Hyper-V platforms, improve data center infrastructure, and collaborate with expert teams on impactful IT projects.
This role is remote within Romania. If you are based in Cluj-Napoca, you also have the option to work from our office in a hybrid setup.
What you will do
- Design, operate, and optimize Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere/ESXi clusters.
- Plan and implement high-availability solutions and live migrations.
- Analyze and optimize the capacity and performance of CPU, memory, storage, and network resources.
- Perform maintenance, patching, and upgrades, and support infrastructure migrations and hardware refresh projects.
- Analyze and resolve hypervisor-level issues with a focus on long-term stability.
- Create and maintain documentation, standards, and runbooks.
When you fit in with us
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Server.
- Strong expertise in VMware vSphere/ESXi.
- A good understanding of data center architectures, including SAN, storage, networking, and backup concepts.
- Proficiency in PowerShell.
- A structured, analytical approach to work, with the ability to remain solution-oriented when troubleshooting complex issues.
- Fluency in English and German.
