As the Virtualisation Engineer - L3, you will be responsible for providing expert-level technical support and management of VMware environments across multiple data centres. We are looking for a Virtualisation Engineer - L3 to join our fast-paced operations team supporting VMware environments. This position will be full-time and hybrid (Gurugram location).
What You’ll Do
Provide expert-level technical support for VMware products including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN.
Manage storage and networking resources within a virtualised environment.
Collaborate with development teams to enhance automation and efficiency.
Monitor and optimise the performance and availability of the VMware environment.
What You'll Need
Required:
10+ years of experience in VMware administration and engineering (vSphere 7+, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN etc.).
Strong knowledge of hardware virtualization technologies, specifically VMware vSphere version 7+, vSAN, and vRealize Operations Manager.
Experience supporting multiple hardware models (Dell, HPe).
Strong knowledge of VMware metro-clusters and storage replication technology.
Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash etc.).
Solid knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, Prometheus etc.).
Good documentation skills and operational awareness.
Experience integrating new solutions with existing management toolsets such as vRealize Operations, Log Insight, and automation platforms.
Highly competent in managing time, tasks, and key stakeholders.
Ability to understand issues quickly, identify solutions, and resolve them in a timely manner.
Preferred:
Enterprise SAN storage experience (configuration, performance optimisation, troubleshooting).
Familiarity with Pure Storage or willingness to learn and contribute in this space.
VMware VCP or Pure Storage certifications.
Automation and scripting experience (PowerCLI, Python).
