ABOUT THE ROLE
Adolescent Wellness Academy (AWA) is seeking a master’s-level Creative Group Facilitator to lead engaging virtual groups for adolescents ages 13–17 in our PHP/IOP mental health program. Groups may incorporate art, music, movement, writing, mindfulness, or other creative activities.
Backgrounds that translate well: Art, Music, Expressive Arts, Creative Writing, Education, Recreation, and Counseling.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Facilitate 2–3 live virtual groups each week
• Create structured, age-appropriate activities
• Promote creativity, connection, and emotional expression
• Maintain engagement in a virtual group setting
• Complete attendance and required documentation
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
• Master’s degree in a creative, educational, or behavioral health field
• Group facilitation experience
• Experience working with adolescents ages 13–17
• Familiarity with PHP, IOP, or behavioral health settings
• Experience facilitating creative groups remotely
• Private home office, webcam, and reliable internet
Preferred:
• Adolescent PHP/IOP experience
• Trauma-informed or strengths-based experience
• Warm, creative, and dependable virtual presence
This is a fully remote independent contractor opportunity. Payment is issued biweekly upon invoice submission.
Adolescent Wellness Academy provides PHP and IOP mental health services for adolescents ages 13–17 across South Florida. We serve young people and their families during critical moments—and this role helps make that care engaging and meaningful.

What We Do
Adolescent Wellness Academy is a South Florida mental-health provider serving teens ages 13–17 and their families. It offers personalized, evidence-based, family-focused care for conditions and challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, self-harm, and behavioral issues. Its programs include intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, therapeutic day, after-school, and virtual care, helping adolescents heal while remaining connected to home and school.
