Profile Requirements:
- 4+ years of similar experience
- Previous experience in a medical receptionist, patient services, or healthcare administration role
- Professional and warm telephone manner with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients including older demographics
- Strong written English communication skills for managing patient enquiries and inbox correspondence
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently following documented processes and procedures
Core responsibilities:
- Answer and manage inbound patient phone calls in a professional and friendly manner
- Handle appointment bookings, scheduling, changes, cancellations, and rescheduling
- Respond to patient enquiries via phone and email promptly and accurately
- Manage the practice inbox and action administrative requests in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate patient records and update booking systems as required
- Follow practice-specific processes and documentation provided by the practitioner
- Liaise with patients to ensure a smooth and positive experience from first contact through to confirmed booking
- Support general administrative tasks as the practice grows and the role expands
