THE JOB

The Casino VIP Services Manager is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the Casino VIP Services team. This role involves managing the Casino VIP Services Supervisors and Coordinators. The Manager should possess strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate employees, ensuring that exceptional service is consistently delivered. A commitment to modeling S.H.O.W. Service Basics in all business interactions is essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively and lead initiatives that contribute to a successful operation. All responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies and procedures. You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Oversee the daily operations of Supervisors and Coordinators, assisting with the implementation and maintenance of operational procedures to uphold quality and quantity standards, ensuring excellent service for every guest
  • Identify and address any inefficiencies or concerns impacting the Casino VIP Services operation
  • Execute all payroll and timekeeping forms for agents in the Casino Marketing Department
  • Manage staff performance through interviewing, hiring, training, developing, counseling, and evaluating as needed
  • Continuously monitor staff performance across all service phases and job functions, addressing any deficiencies with the relevant personnel
  • Provide constructive feedback and address disciplinary issues while mentoring employees
  • Observe guest reactions and frequently confer with staff to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Research data and trends, recommending actions to reduce costs and maximize casino revenue
  • Stay informed about current advancements and best practices in the hotel and casino industry

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Nevada State Gaming Registration
  • Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
  • Two (2) years of previous guest services experience in Hotel or Casino Marketing
  • Experience leading a team with the ability to be a strong leader and role model
  • Must possess mature personal discretion and sound judgment
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and project management skills, with particular attention to quality and detail
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, computer technology and telephone etiquette skills
