Our Waimea Plains community is a living and breathing example of Arvida’s resident-led approach and Attitude of Living Well ethos.

Located in the sunny Tasman region, Waimea Plains boasts modern living options that enable our residents to live life their way. On offer are two- and three-bedroom villas; resident-led initiatives including a workshop, bike shed, and brew club; and a clubhouse with a bar, kitchen, and indoor and outdoor entertainment areas.

As Village Manager you will oversee all day-to-day operations including team leadership, resident satisfaction, sales, landscape and property maintenance, and overall financial performance.

A purpose-built care centre, offering rest home, dementia, and hospital-level support, is in construction with plans to open in 2027. For now the community, and this role, is focused on independent living however you will need to partner effectively with on-site development and construction teams and then, in time, oversee care centre operations.

To ensure the ongoing success of Waimea Plains, you are an experienced and passionate operator. Your commercial acumen, strong leadership skills, and continuous improvement mindset will continue to nourish a thriving business and community, and, at a minimum you will demonstrate:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role (senior living experience preferred).
  • Ability to engage and foster relationships with prospective and established residents and ensure Arvida’s reputation is enhanced in the local community.
  • Experience in leading, coaching and developing people - fostering a values-led culture.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to deliver operational goals. 
  • Knowledge and experience of aged residential care preferred, or related health or social sector experience.
  • Understanding and application of relevant legislation.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety management and safe working practices.
